Don’t give up!

Grace and peace to you in Name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!I welcome you to the column of our “Daily word for spiritual strength”.Today I would like to consider lessons from the life of four Bible heroes who brought a paralytic man to Jesus. In this history there are some vital lessons we can learn and some valuable principles for successful living.Here is the first lesson: It is very important not to give up when you have set a goal achieve something noble.
“ And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. 2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. 3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee” (Mark 2:1-5).
We can see from the above text that these people had a noble desire or goal, — to bring this weakened and paralytic person into the divine presence of God. The miracle this man needed was possible only in the presence of God. Miracle is available for all of us too only in God’s presence.When we come into the presence of God, then all our problems and leprosies disappear.However, this weakened person in our story couldn’t have come to Jesus and get into the presence of God by himself because he has been confined to bed. His four friends have decided to help him in this.As we can see in the story, despite their noble desire, there was a serious obstacle standing on their way and that will not allow them to get directly to Jesus. What was this obstacle? It was the great crowd of people that surrounded Jesus.One very interesting lesson hidden in this lesson for us is that: no obstacles could stop these people. These four heroes overcame all the barriers and came to Jesus, breaking into the presence of God. These people found a way to achieve their goal and reach their objective. The way they found wasn’t traditional one, and this way did cost them something. But they have made it and paid the price for it. They have disassembled the roof of the house where Jesus was teaching and lowered unto Jesus the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.What does God want us to see through this story?God want us to understand that it will not always be easy, when we make up our mind to pursue our goals and purpose in life. The person, who quickly gives up will never win.God’s word for you today is this: Don’t give up!May God bless you on your way to achieving your purpose in life! Please, don’t give in to obstacles, because there are ways to achieve your purpose. If you have gone one way, and nothing seems to work out for you, then try to find another way.     For the fact that Jesus got to know God´s will and fulfilled His mission we can enter the presence of God, receive forgiveness of our sins and get answers to our prayers today. It´s important to notice that fate of many people depends on do we or do we not fulfil our mission and God´s will in our lives. In case we fail to accomplish the mission, some people will not enter their fate or the fulfilment of their mission will experience a delay. That´s why Jesus treated God´s will and its fulfilment in the most serious way. The job of His Father who sent Him was the highest priority in Jesus life.

  • What we do with our potential?

    A talent is almost the same as potential. The parable of talents could just as well be called the parable of potential. Potential is something unfinished that can be developed and completed. In the beginning potential can be invisible, but it nevertheless exists. In order to transform potential into reality, it must be developed. Based on the potential given to you, you can change your present condition. There is a beginning of change in you and everything you need to change your life. You have to develop your potential and bring it to completion.

    The paradox is that most Christians, who discipline themselves in other areas of their life in order to be successful – like job or carrier, do not believe they need to be disciplined in the area of godliness. We are talking about good Christians who are faithful members of the Church of the Living God. These are people who love God’s Word and often are very enthusiastic about the work of God. But because of the lack of discipline they do not reach their potential in God’s Kingdom.

  • Four possible God´s answers to the right prayer said by the right person II

    Answer Nr.3 – God says «No!» In this case you should be glad with this answer as much as glad you are when God says es”. “No” is the most difficult thing to hear and to pronounce. Some people never accept answer “No” at all. Those who dare say “No” to them become enemies of such people. Sometimes we are not able to accept negative answer from God too.Apostle Paul wrote in his letter about a thorn in his flesh used by the angel of satan to inflict pain on him. Paul prayed for three times for removal of it, but God said “No!” Didn´t Paul remain in God and the word of God in him?

    The world is changing very rapidly. I am convinced that new changes will come into our lives with an increasing speed. If I told you about different predictions and ideas that experts have about our future, then the hearts of many people would be filled with fear. One pastor spoke to me about it and I saw his heart getting filled with fear after hearing all the predictions. He asked me what to do with all of it; is it worth making big plans if all these terrible things are inevitably coming upon the earth? I told him that – thank God – we have the Bible that contains all the answers.
