How can we face any opposition and problem with our faces shining at the same time?

Peace to you, dear friends!I thank the Lord for the regular opportunity to share with you the word of wisdom from the Lord. The Bible says that wisdom makes a person’s face to shine. Therefore today, I would like to talk about how we can overcome shame and dishonour in our lives.
„Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” (Psalms 34:5)
The wisdom that makes a person’s face shine is hidden in this Scripture. How can we overcome dishonour and shame in our lives? How can we face any opposition and problem with our faces shining at the same time? The Scripture mentioned above teaches that it is necessary for us to look unto God by entering into His presence and learn to draw strength and wisdom from Him. Let us look at the life of Moses. Moses’ face was shined when he descended from the mountain where he spent time conversing with God. This is what Psalms 34:5 is talking about. Those who looked unto God and met with Him were definitely enlightened. Such people will never be disgraced.
„ 28 Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant-the Ten Commandments. 29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.” (Exodus 34:28-29)
After Moses descended from the prayer mountain, he even did not know his face was shining. It is not compulsory that we know or see how this happens to us as well. All we need to know is that God says that those who look to Him will definitely radiate light,- the light of God’s glory and majesty. This is what will separate a person from every shame and dishonour. Dear friends, this is the word of God for you today: look unto Him, learn to spend time with God, learn to be in God’s presence, and then you will see that your face will start shining. Enemies will not be able to overcome and gain victory over people who spend time with God. May God bless you!Until tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • God doesn’t want us to give up! III

First of all, God ”will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able”. Maybe you don´t even feel that He is keeping all your situations under control but as a matter of fact, He has already set the limit of your hardships. God will not let things, that are above what you can bear, enter your life. You probably underestimate your own strength, but God knows better. When your reasoning is right you prevail over hardships. God will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, so you can overcome all difficulties in life – that´s the idea you should feed your mind with.
  • Rejoice in the Lord!

The Bible says that «God loves a cheerful giver» (2 Corinthians, 9:7). So it says that God not only loves givers, but He delights in cheerful giving. It is so essential for us no only to serve God, but also to do it with joy.
  • The chief hindrances that block God’s power from working for us

Jesus sometimes connects sickness with sins. This is not always the true for every sickness or situation (John 9:1-3), but very often our problems are connected to some unconfessed sins in our lives.“And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee” (Matthew 9:1-8).
  • Worthy Goal for Life

Every person has a goal, whether he talks about it or not. He is driven to do something. But if we talk about goals, it is important to determinewhether it is WORTHY or UNWORTHY. Paul had a worthy goal and talked about it all the time:«…according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
  • The life of Jesus was described to us so that we learn from Him to take His yoke and His burden

According to the Bible, God´s highest goal for us is make us in likeness of Christ. He wants us to be like Jesus. Though, it doesn´t happen in at blink of an eye, it´s rather a process that develops as we allow the God´s word and other God´s means on to influence us. Spending your time with Jesus by reading the word of God and praying, fellowship with other christians, decently overcoming difficulties and pain – all these things help you to transform more and more, just as it happened to Jesus disciples.
  • When you go through hardships, trials and pain, learn to praise God in these circumstances!

Pain and problems – they are the things that God uses to spiritually discipline and develop us. We learn obedience through the things we suffer. «..though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered» (Hebrews, 5: 8).Gold is purified in high temperatures. Sufferings are ‘high temperature’ that purifies us.
