It is the content of your heart that determines where your life is heading! II

Greetings to you, dear friends! I am happy for the opportunity to share with you the pearls of wisdom from God’s Word.God told Joshua:
«This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success» (Joshua, 1:8).
Twelve spies from the nation of Israel went to explore Promised Land, and afterwards ten of them said that it was impossible to conquer it and only two of them were convinced that it would be their land. The ten were led by visible circumstances that are why their position was negative: „We won’t be able to do it. We won’t succeed, because we are small and weak, not like the inhabitants of the land.” They looked at the external hindrances because they thought that their destiny depended on and was determined by the surroundings. But the other two of them – Joshua and Caleb — knew what you and I know today, – that our destiny is not determined by the surroundings; it is determined by the condition of our hearts. Joshua and Caleb said quite the opposite: «We are able, because God is with us; thus nothing will stand against us!» Those were not empty words; they were spoken with confidence, because these men kept God’s Word in their hearts. We have to realize that in order for some things to flow out of your heart, you need to store some things there. The Word of God that you keep in your heart will save you! In hard times, when people rise against you with slander and when all the circumstances seem to be against you, only the Word of God that you have in your heart will save you. That is why we say that God’s Word is our support system. It is like a bearing wall in a building. If you take it down, the building will collapse. A bearing wall carries the weight. If we keep God’s Word in our hearts, it will be a support system in our lives. We will continue tomorrow!May God protect you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

“The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, “If I have found favour in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way – now that you have come to your servant.” “Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.” “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. “There in the tent,” he said. Then the Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.”
  • Daily obedience to God in different areas of your life will bring you to your calling IV

«Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heave, that it cannot hear» (Isaiah, 59:1).God loves every person. He has prepared an amazing destiny for every one of us. Each person is born for specific purpose. Every one has a calling, but only the Lord knows what that calling includes. When a person fully submits to the Lord, then He opens to this person everything that concerns his or her calling.
  • Presence of God IV

We have been talking about God’s presence in our lives. As we have discussed, God’s presence makes all the difference in our lives. It makes us strong. It makes us wise. We can experience God’s presence through fervent praying, through cleansing and purifying of our hearts, though brokenness and humility before God, and through holy and godly living.Moses made prayer a priority in order to secure God’s presence in his life and ministry; for this reason he set up a special tent where all the seekers of God were invited to come.

In order to know it you have to answer a few questions that can help you to understand what to do at the current stage of your life. What goals and tasks do I have today? What are my short-term and long-term projects for my life? What steps am going to take? Why are these goals and tasks so important? What else do I need to know in order to reach my goals?
  • Value God’s Word!

Today God wants to tell us the same thing. The Word of God is life to us. When God sends us His Word, He offers us life. Rejecting the Word of God we reject life itself. Moses says about God’s Word: «For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life…»It is extremely important for us to appreciate the Word of God and not to treat it as something futile, – it is not like a song that we have listened to and then gone to do our own will. It should be to us like the greatest treasure. We have to value God’s Word, to hide it in our hearts, to appreciate it because it is life to us. God says that through the Word and through our right attitude towards it we can extend or prolong our days. Our attitude toward the Word determines whether we will extend our life or shorten it.
