It is the content of your heart that determines where your life is heading! III

Greetings to you, dear readers, on this wonderful day! God makes every day anew, and His mercy is new for us every morning! We are talking about the importance of our hearts being filled with God’s Word, which is full of grace and the life of God.
«A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things» (Mathew, 12:35).
In the Gospel of Luke, the same idea is expressed differently:
«A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks» (Luke, 6:45).
Some people continually blame others and their hearts are full of negative things, fear, insecurities. The reason is that they have allowed these things to enter their hearts and settle in. Whatever you let in, the same things also go out. Therefore, it is very important to feed your faith by being filled with God’s Word. If your heart is not full of God’s Word, then in hard times you will have fear, unbelief, anger and vengeance coming out of your heart. Not long ago I received a letter from someone very close to me. He asked me to agree with him in prayer for God to send down fire and judgement on those that have been acting against him and hindering his success. Immediately I told him that I wouldn’t pray for that. I told him that I would pray for his adversaries to live and see how God blesses him. David once said:
«You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over» (Psalm 23:5).
That is the kind of prayer I like: that God would prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies so that they could see that nothing is able to stop the grace of God in my life. My enemies do not determine my destiny; it is God and my heart that does!Once Jesus wanted to pass through one of the villages of Samaria, but the people did not let him. The disciples suggested to Jesus that He destroy these people by fire, as had happened in the days of Elijah, when the prophets of Baal and the armed men whom Ahab sent to arrest Elijah were destroyed. So the disciples based their actions on the Scripture. But Jesus told them that He was not sent to destroy people’s lives, but to save them. Jesus asked His disciples what manner of spirit they were of if they wanted God to destroy their enemies. God calls us to love our enemies, to pray for them, to bless those that curse us, to feed them if they are hungry. So Jesus wanted His disciples to understand an important truth: their enemies are not strong enough to change their destiny. If you guard your heart and fill it with God’s Word, then nobody will be able to change your destiny! There is nobody that can stop you!Guard your heart, because out of it flow the issues of life!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Love is spiritual, not physical power

When we walk in love it brings health and strength to our spirits. A strong spirit helps an individual to overcome all sicknesses. But if we give our hearts to hatred, bitterness, revenge, unforgiveness, it undermines our hearts. And when our spirits are weak, we are not able to withstand difficult situation and we fail in life. That is why it says, „who can bear a broken spirit?” Nobody! If you do not walk in love, you get ill, irritated and your hearts is filled with bitterness.
  • The Word of God – the source of divine information and truth

The lack of vision, knowledge or useful information can become the source of destruction and tragedy. There is a saying that not knowing the law does not relief from the responsibility; not knowing God’s laws or moral blindness multiplies human sufferings on earth.Every person must gain knowledge and understanding of God’s provision; we must know what God has done for us in Christ so that we can lessen human suffering. The lack of such knowledge can cause great pain. It is like a person starving because he does not know about state aid. The lack of knowledge of one’s rights and privileges can cause unnecessary problems.
  • Accountability allows us to submerge in Christ

Accountability makes us strong and unites us to the other believers; it also kills the “I am a lone island” thinking. This type of thinking has caused many problems that the Body of Christ still suffers from.God does not want you to be an island that is separated and independent of the other brothers and sisters in Christ. We are not only responsible to being accountable ourselves; we also need to call others to accountability and help them with it.
  • How to set grace free in our lives? II

The law of sowing and reaping governs how favour works. It is necessary to look at favour as a seed that must be sown. Jesus said that, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matthew 5:7).In other words, Jesus is saying, “Blessed are those who have sown favour or mercy, because they will reap favour or mercy”.Generally, the level of favour operating in your life depends on the level of the seed of favour you sow into other people’s lives. This means that I cannot expect the harvest of favour in my life until I have not sown mercy into other people’s lives.
  • Find someone you can trust fully and without holding back and confess to them!

When that happens, you will experience tremendous freedom!Freedom comes when we walk in the light; it is not just how long we pray. When we do the right things that are based on God’s Word, the Son of God sets us free and we are free indeed:«Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free» (John, 8:31-32).
