It is essential what we believe more – what we say or what God says!

I greet you, dear readers of our column “Daily Word for Spiritual Strength”! According to God’s mighty grace, we have been given the opportunity to feed our hearts daily with the living Word of God. God is light and in Him there is no darkness! Light of the Word of God illuminates and makes us smarter. All this time, we have been talking about the fact that many voices are trying to rule over our lives – the voice of our common sense, the voices of feelings, public opinion, and experts, etc. But we found that only God’s Word and His voice brings us to the true life in abundance, and takes us into God’s plans and will. But the Bible says that God’s will and plans for us are good.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
But the question is still topical – what we say and what we believe.Often while reading the Bible, we hear ourselves better than we hear God. This is because there are words that we say, and there is Word that He says. It is essential what we believe more – what we say or what God says. Let us look at some expressions that we often use, ad let us see what God says about the same things in His Word.*YOU SAY, “It is not possible!”*GOD SAYS, “All things are possible for God!”*Bible verse: Luke 18:27

“And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
 * YOU SAY, “I am afraid.”* GOD SAYS, “I have not given you the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”* Bible verse: 2 Timothy 1:7

  • Life without prayer is a road to nowhere II

    1. Set apart some time for prayer and commit to it.2. Plan where you will pray.It does not have to be at home, but you also do not need to turn prayer into some religious ritual. Be creative when you choose the place for prayer. For instance, there was a time in my life when I made walking into prayer time. I called it “a prayer walk”. I went out in the street for the purpose of prayer.
  • God has left us two most important commandments – to love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves.!

Walking in love is the determining factor of how happy we will be on this earth. Any one of us can become a happy person, who is satisfied with life, if only we will live in accordance to the law of love. In other words, my attitude towards God and the people around me determines whether I will be happy or not. If you want to be happy, then my advice to you is to love God and your neighbour without deceit!
  • Being a Christian is a responsibility

God lifts up and raises exactly those who agree to become responsible. Jesus speaks on this in the next passage:«For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.»(Мatth.25:29-30)
  • What are you doing with your talent?

I pray that all of us would hear this not only with our ears, but with our hearts. This parable of Jesus is about the Kingdom of God. One of the things Jesus taught intensively was the Kingdom of God. And there were serious reasons for it. The kingdoms of this earth will pass away, and a new Kingdom will come – the Kingdom of God. Jesus brought God’s Kingdom to the earth, and He desires us to know this Kingdom, seeking it and living in it. It says in the Bible that first of all we must seek the Kingdom and its righteousness. It is not that easy, because there is another kingdom that opposes God and pulls our hearts. That is why Jesus spoke intensively about God’s Kingdom, and almost all of His parables are about God’s Kingdom.
  • Seek first to do that which is the will of God in all your decisions

If you fear God, the first thing you consider in any decision you make is: “What is God’s will in this matter? What does God say about this issue?” The first question you ask in hard times should never be “How hard is it going to get doing what I am doing” BUT RATHER what is God’s will in this matter?
  • Jesus as the example of a true minister

We see that Jesus experienced serious difficulties in the days of His earthly life, but He did not focus on them. Jesus was busy serving the Father and those He was sent to serve. While Jesus served people, the Father made sure people ministered to Jesus; God met Jesus’ needs through His ministry. When we serve others, God motivates others to serve us. We always reap what we have sown. We do not serve people because we do not have any problems, – we serve people because it pleases God. And when we serve, despite the fact that we have problems, needs and concerns, God makes sure some people that we do not even know serve us by meeting our needs
