Preparation is a key to effective life

Good day, dear friends!Thanks to God for this awesome day He granted us with! Thank Him for another opportunity to get filled with His living word! Today I wish to discuss with you a very important topic: “preparation is a key to effective life”. In reality, effective life is impossible without appropriate preparation. Jesus solved the question of effectiveness by preparing Himself for the ministry. There is almost no information about what Jesus had been doing during the first 30 years of His life. Gospels tell us the story about His ministry. Meanwhile, we need to understand that prior to starting His ministry Jesus had been seriously preparing himself for quite a long time. «The child was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.» (Luke 2:40). Jesus was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, developing certain skills and calling Himself to discipline. For example, He regularly communicated with the Father: «But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.» (Luke 5:15-16).Jesus often fasted. (see Luke 4:1-16) When people came to Jesus asking for healing, Jesus never rejected them saying He would need to fast for 7 days first and only then pray for their healing. Not like that, He always was in shape, always ready to serve people, because He kept preparing Himself for ministry. The Bible prompts us to be ready at all times: «But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear.» ( 1 Peter 3:15). «preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.» (2 Timothy 4:2). Influential people always work on themselves. God always prepares the vessel He is using. Are you letting Him to prepare yourself? Your future starts today as the following verses of Scripture say: «Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves; for tomorrow Yahweh will do wonders among you.» (Joshua 3:5).«Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments, and be ready against the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.» (Exodus 19:10-11).«Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.» (Matthew 6:34). If you take care for tomorrow, tomorrow will take care for itself. If you skip your preparation for tomorrow today, tomorrow will bring you only bitterness and failure. Today is important! What are doing with your life today? What are you doing with the word of God today? What are you doing with His call today? Commence your self-preparation today, so that your tomorrow can delight you! We will continue tomorrow!     The Bible says, that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. What shall I do when I feel my prayer doesn´t work well. Shall I read a book about upsurge and healing, or listen to a sermon about liberation from curse, maybe I should blame devil and demons for all failures of my praying life. It´s them who set obstacles for me. Quite often people blame devil for all failures in their life. When I listen to the sermons constantly focusing on satan and demons I ask myself, whom are we preaching and whom are we glorifying? Read gospels to see what Jesus said to the demon. He said: “leave him” then continued his way. It´s not a satan fault that you don´t practise praying.

    In the Gospel of Mathew Jesus told a parable about Master giving his servants different talents. «For the kingdom of heaven is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey» (Mathew, 25: 14-15).Jesus shows us here that the criterion of His assessment is not quantity, but faithfulness. God know that every one of us has different abilities, so the quantitative result will be different for different people. Numbers are not important to Jesus; He cares about how faithful you have been with what God has given you. He cares about your attitude towards His work.

    Remember, what is the first sign of a change man? It is the changed attitude towards other people. Joseph’s attitude towards his brothers tells us that he had been changed. Imagine that these were the people that sold him into slavery and caused him to go through pain, misery, losses, trials and serious problems. And now brothers came to Joseph for help and he helped – freely and with no desire to pay back for all the pain. He was able to do it because he was changed and freed from unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment.

What is reproof? Reproof is when you are showed when you are being wrong. Quite often you and I are wrong; we need to be corrected by the Word of God.But the Bible not only corrects us; it also teaches us. The Bible disciplines and edifies us. The Bible helps us to realize how we can our lives and where to start.
