Love is a weapon of victory of the last time II

Greetings to you, my friends!I am very glad about having this opportunity to share the word, God put into my heart for today. I believe it will strengthen and enrich you, arm you for the victory at the battle of the last days. We are talking about arms God gave to us in order to enable us to get over all those events the last days are gonna be filled with. As a matter of fact people will desperately need love at the last days. That´s why Jesus describing the hardships of the last days also set love commandments to His disciples. As we mentioned earlier, by obeying these commandments and developing our walk in love we arm ourselves for the victory.Let´s have a look at what the Scripture tells us about love commandments set up by Jesus. We will see how important walking in love and obedience to these commandments are.
«You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, … » (Matthew 5:43-44).
«But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you..» (Luke 6:27-28)
«…‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’» (Matthew 22:39).
«A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another..» (John 13:34)
In all these verses Jesus instructs His disciples of what their attitude to enemies should be. He says we are to love our enemies, pray for them and bless them. We find the same principle of love in many verses of the New Testament. Love is a tool or a weapon to gain a victory at the last days.
«Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honourable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.» (Romans 12:17-21).
When we walk in love and obey its commandments, we celebrate the victory over any kind of evil. Only love can beat hatred. Therefore, God calls us to live a new life – life in love. Let´s continue this topic tomorrow. I believe God speaks to you through this word today. Walk in love, obey its commandments! Love is a powerful weapon you can gain victory in the battle of the last days. See you tomorrow!Be blessed!Rufus Adjiboye, pastor.

  • Our life is a product of what we see II

We have been talking about the fact that we can plan together with God and partner with Him to construct a great future. We established also that great future does not happen automatically. We are believers, but that does not mean that we do not have to think about the future. We should not be careless about our future even though we believe that our future is in the hand of God. God has given us a mind and He wants us to move forward and create a wonderful future for ourselves. A person who does not care about his future usually turns to be a failure. It is very important to plan for the future and to envision it.
  • Don’t ever allow anything or anybody to stop you from serving.

Friends, no matter how badly people or life itself has treated you, if you want to move ahead in life you have to learn how to focus on the right thing and chose the right life position. If despite all the odds of life you can still focus on using your gifts and talents; if you can still continue to serve people, then you will soon be able to change your status. That was exactly what happened to Joseph. As he served these two officers of pharaoh instead of concentrating on the offences of others, the door to his throne opened to him easily. Pharaoh sent for Joseph and fetched him out of the prison.
  • What is calling? How to reveal personal calling and how to enter it?

Recognising of your calling and your task in this life is a process that consists of many small details. Quite often, people try to reveal their calling, while neglecting those small details that make the whole process. Nowadays, many people are unhappy because they either lack revelation for their life or oppose to such revelation, or simply lack understanding of how to fulfil the revelation. Let´s figure it all out.First thing to know is the fact that you were born to carry out a certain task. Bible says our life on this Earth has a goal and value determined. You are not a result of an accident! You were born on this Earth not just for the matter of occupying some space and breathing. You´ve got a mission to fulfil, a way to measure. You are created to take care for others and saved to minister. There many places in the Bible talking about this. We are going to elaborate the verse from Paul´s letter to Ephesians 2:10
  • We must prepare the way so that the Lord could come in glory and fullness! II

Yesterday we started talking about God’s desire to demonstrate His glory and fullness in our lives; for this to happen we have to prepare our hearts and to prepare the way of the Lord. We have to cleanse our hearts from the things that God hates and cannot look upon. The following verses from the Scripture reveal the principle of preparation the way of the Lord.«In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight.’”» (Mathew, 3:1-3).
