You have a talent that matches your ability to handle it, and God desires for you to multiply it. It will affect your future. What you have from God today will determine your place in eternity. Your eternal reward will depend on what you have been doing with your talents. You can either bury your talents or multiply them. You can return to God your talent that He gave you, and say to Him that you did not succeed. You can simply complain about your life and not even try changing or accomplish something in your life.

or you can invest your talent and expand His kingdom with it, everything depend on you.

«After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them» (Mathew, 25:19).

We all want more. We want our churches to have more people, but God – according to your ability – will give you what you can handle. God will be able to entrust you His blessings according to the level of your responsibility. For example, you are in a predicament and you think, „Why do I have to live through this?” But God knows that you can handle it. We often are not aware of how responsible or irresponsible we are, but God is. God knows the burden you are able to carry. You may think and say to yourself, «No, I am not able to bear this! I am not capable!» Until you actually go through it, you won’t be able to imagine what you are capable of.

«Set your mind on things above» (Colossians, 3:2).

But you cannot mentally switch and start thinking about the things above, because it is a process. It depends on your lifestyle. So Jesus tells us to invest ourselves and our treasures into the Kingdom of God, because where your treasures are, your heart will be also. If you continuously think on how you can build God’s Kingdom, – investing your finances, time, strength and effort into it, – then your heart will also be there. It is a law: your heart will be where your treasures are.

The world is changing very rapidly. I am convinced that new changes will come into our lives with an increasing speed. If I told you about different predictions and ideas that experts have about our future, then the hearts of many people would be filled with fear. One pastor spoke to me about it and I saw his heart getting filled with fear after hearing all the predictions. He asked me what to do with all of it; is it worth making big plans if all these terrible things are inevitably coming upon the earth? I told him that – thank God – we have the Bible that contains all the answers.

I pray that all of us would hear this not only with our ears, but with our hearts. This parable of Jesus is about the Kingdom of God. One of the things Jesus taught intensively was the Kingdom of God. And there were serious reasons for it. The kingdoms of this earth will pass away, and a new Kingdom will come – the Kingdom of God. Jesus brought God’s Kingdom to the earth, and He desires us to know this Kingdom, seeking it and living in it. It says in the Bible that first of all we must seek the Kingdom and its righteousness. It is not that easy, because there is another kingdom that opposes God and pulls our hearts. That is why Jesus spoke intensively about God’s Kingdom, and almost all of His parables are about God’s Kingdom.

«For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope»(Jeremiah, 29:11)

I just want to tell you one important thing today; this might apply to just one, two or three people, but it is worth mentioning: if you have been filling your heart with God’s Word for a long time and have been guarding your heart, but you do not yet see the results or fruit, it means God is putting in you a very deep and solid foundation, because He is going to raise a strong and important structure.

«He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction» (Psalm, 107:20).

God’s Word is able to radically change your life. And it is wonderful! We can’t even imagine and fully grasp what a tremendous power is contained in God’s Word! It does not matter what circumstances surround you today and what people are saying or doing against you. It often happens that the closest people hurt us and it affects us deeply.

“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (James, 1:21).

For the Word of God to be implanted in you, you must ‘lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness’. If you are mad at everybody then you won’t be able to hear and comprehend the Word; you will read it, but it won’t work in your life. The process of engrafting requires a special treatment, protection in order to preserve the tree from infection. The same can be said about a human heart, – it must be protected from wickedness so that the Word of God could be planted and then bring forth fruit – the fruit of salvation.

“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (James, 1:21).

This is a very profound verse of Scripture that must be considered and closely examined. But I would like to draw your attention to several points. Here the Bible talks about the implanted Word which saves our souls. It resembles the process of engrafting a branch of tree into another tree, after which these trees become one, since they have the same root system. The implanted Word must be one with me. God wants His Word to be planted in my heart so that the Word and I become one because it is only then will the word be able save my soul.

«A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks» (Luke, 6:45).

Some people continually blame others and their hearts are full of negative things, fear, insecurities. The reason is that they have allowed these things to enter their hearts and settle in. Whatever you let in, the same things also goes out.
