Our highest calling – to reveal God in our flesh

Greetings to you, dear friends! Grace to you and peace from the Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ! Today I would like to start talking about our highest calling – to reveal God in our flesh. The Bible says:
«For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him» (John, 1:17-18).
The law can never save people because the law only reveals the sinful nature of man. The law was given in order for people to realize their need for God and His help. It was Jesus who brought to us the truth and the grace that conveys spiritual power necessary to live in accordance with God’s will. Anyone who will accept this truth and grace will have the power to live a holy life and become an instrument in God’s hand that is able to manifest or declare God’s truth and grace to other people.
«In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (..) That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world» (John, 1:4, 9).
Jesus became God’s personification (incarnation) in flesh in order to enlighten every man who comes into this world. Nobody has ever seen God, but Jesus came into the world to reveal God to people. The life of Jesus in the flesh is the light that helps people to see God. People looked at the life of Jesus and saw God because Jesus revealed God and manifested His nature through His life. Jesus has now passed this same mission to us His disciples. The life of Jesus in us must become the light for other people.
« Jesus said to him, „I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, „Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, „Have I been with you so long, and yet you have no known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves » (John, 14:6-11).
Jesus said that He is the way to the Father. All of those that saw and heard Jesus or saw His works also saw the Father since Jesus manifested the Father in everything He did. That was why Jesus came to this earth – to show people who God is and the way to Him. When people see our lives they either are drawn closer to God whom we represent or our lives repel them from Him. We must do everything we can to manifest God through what we do and say. We do not need to impress people, but we must reveal God’s nature through our lives. Jesus said:
The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works » (John, 14:10).
People are listening to our words on daily basis. If we speak the words of God, we’ll be revealing God to others. Our words are a reflection of what we are carrying inside of us. Our words and deeds are the channel or venue through which we manifest God in our lives on the earth. Since life lived in the flesh is not capable of revealing or manifesting God; only life lived in the Spirit is able to do this. We must therefore so immerse ourselves into God such that He could manifest Himself through us. Not every church-goer is able to reveal God through his or her life, but only the Son Who is in God’s bosom can do that. So Jesus came into this world to show God to people, but now this mission has been passed to us – His disciples:
« As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world» (John, 17:18).
If you consider yourself to be a disciple of Jesus, then it is God’s commandment for you – to reveal God and His unlimited love to other people.  May God abundantly bless every one of you on this wonderful day! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Your gift will make room for you!

«A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Your gift will make room for you and will broaden your boarders, if you won’t hide it. So many times believers ask: «Where is my place in the Body of Christ? What is my calling?»Do what you know. This simple principle gives an answer to many questions. Find the thing that you know how to do; find what you can do to promote the Kingdom of God, to help the church to grow and to extend your influence in the society.
  • Dedication precedes provision

God is always good, and He will never change in this sense. God is always powerful. God changes His strength for my weakness. God always has blessings for every one of us. The unchanging God can change you. You can always come to God – in any situation – and He will change you and your circumstances. All of us need provision, because we all have needs in different areas of our life: finances, health, wisdom for making decisions etc.
  • God is more interested in your spiritual growth, development of your character than a quick answer to your prayers!

It would not be hard for God to give you what you are asking for; it is a lot harder to cause changes in you and your character. Humans tend to be so ungrateful. The people of Israel were wandering through the desert; they called out to God, He answered them, but it did not change them. Afterwards, when a different problem came they called out to God again, and He answered them and gave what they had asked for. Nevertheless, their hearts remained unchanged. God can answer your prayers again and again, but it is not a guarantee of permanent changes in your life. Quite often God allows certain situations in our lives that help us to grow spiritually.
  • Preparation is a key to effective life!

In reality, effective life is impossible without appropriate preparation. Jesus solved the question of effectiveness by preparing Himself for the ministry. There is almost no information about what Jesus had been doing during the first 30 years of His life. Gospels tell us the story about His ministry. Meanwhile, we need to understand that prior to starting His ministry Jesus had been seriously preparing himself for quite a long time.
  • The power and importance of forgiveness

We are going to have a look at the two sides of forgiveness.Forgiveness is something, life on Earth would turn into the sufferings of hell without. Every human faces the question of forgiveness time to time. We like the word “forgiveness” when we receive it, but what about when we have to forgive somebody, give something away from yourself? Quite often we are not willing to do so. Though, the true understanding of forgiveness obliges us to notice two sides of forgiveness. Let’s have a look at the verses from Scripture that help us to see them.
