Our life is a product of what we see

I bless you, precious children of God, and pray that God will bless your life in a special way today! Yesterday we started to talk about how to construct a wonderful future. We also talked about the fact that you can not have what you do not see. Our life is a product of what we see. Our future is a reflection of what we envision. What we envision is what we set our heart on.God wanted to turn Abram into a great man, and He promised that right after their first meeting. In order for that to become a reality, God made Abram His partner. It was necessary so that Abram could start building the future God had prepared for him.
«And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: „Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are – northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever»(Genesis, 13:14-15).
We see that God began stretching Abram’s vision, broaden his horizons, because He wanted Abram to have the vision of a great future that was prepared for him: «…all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants». Gold told Abram to lift up his eyes and to start looking around. He told Abram that he will have only those things which he is able to see or envision. The land that Abram was able to see would be given to him. You cannot have what you cannot see. God wants you to answer the following question today: what are you seeing? How do you see your life? What picture of your future are you seeing today? How do you see your life in 2 years, 5 years or 7 years? How do you see the future of your family? How do you see the future of your ministry? Answers to these questions are very important. Only those people that have a vision of the future can be made great by God. Those that do not have any vision will never be great. That is why God first places thoughts of who He wants us to be in our minds to engage our imagination. If we will be able to see the future with the eyes of our minds we will come into that future we are seeing. Tomorrow we will talk about this in more detail. Today I will just like you to ask yourself a question: what do I see? The way I see myself today is what I will become tomorrow. Be blessed! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • What good does reading of the Bible does to a person?

«All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…» (2 Timothy, 3:16).It is written that God’s Word is profitable for reproof. What is reproof? Reproof is when you are showed when you are being wrong. Quite often you and I are wrong; we need to be corrected by the Word of God.But the Bible not only corrects us; it also teaches us. The Bible disciplines and edifies us. The Bible helps us to realize how we can our lives and where to start.
  • Just as much as you open yourself to others, they will be able to help you at a time of need

The Church of Jesus Christ is the place of accountability and not where everyone does what comes to his mind. The New Testament contains many of God’s commandments that have the phrase “one another” in them. It tells us that we do not only walk before God, but also walk before one another. For example, it says in several verses that we should love one another.
  • The devil as the source of tragedy

You might want to ask why the devil (and not God) is the ruler of this earth. The answer is that God entrusted the rulership of the earth to humans for a time and He cannot take it back before the set time. «May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; but the earth He has given to the children of men» (Psalm, 115:15-16).
  • God doesn’t want us to give up!

Nowadays many people give up as soon as something does not go like they expected or some problems start to choke them. I will tell you honestly that it is not hard to go through different problems with dignity, – you must learn it. It does not happen automatically; you must prepare yourself for it. If we won’t prepare ourselves ahead of time, then at difficult times we will fail and give up. Lack of discipline and preparation will create instability in our lives and will hinder our progress.
  • Jesus was constantly seeking the God´s will for His life

Reading the Bible we see how Jesus was growing and being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him. Jesus was constantly seeking the God´s will for His life, in order to set a good example for us. If Jesus had got to know God´s will using His divine nature instead, He wouldn´t have set a role model to us nor we wouldn´t be able to follow his steps today. Jesus stayed longer in the Temple after the feast of Passover in Jerusalem while other people had already left for home (see Luke 2:41-51). What was Jesus doing there and why did He stay longer in the Temple? He stayed there to listen to the scribes and to question them. That´s one of His secrets where His wisdom came from. Jesus studied the Scriptures. He attended the Temple and asked questions, prayed and leaned closer to God, His Father.
