Our sins and the sins of others are the main reasons of tragedies

Greetings to you, dear friends!Praise God for this wonderful day which God has given you! Thank God for one more opportunity to be filled with His living Word! We are still talking about how to turn tragedy into triumph. The majority of tragedies and disasters on earth that daily destroy great many people are a result of lawlessness of the people living on earth.
«So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it. Therefore do not defile the land which you inhabit, in the midst of which I dwell; for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel» (Numbers, 35:33-34).
According to these passages of Scripture bloodshed or murder defile the land bringing curse on the land and its people. Here we read that the atonement of this curse cannot be made without the shedding of the blood of those people that are guilty of shedding of innocent blood. In other words, only the shedding of blood of the one who has killed someone can atone or annul this bloodshed. .Jesus said that the Holy Scripture cannot be ignored (John, 10:35), thus we cannot avoid the curse that comes on earth because of the shedding of innocent blood through wars, terrorism, murder etc.On this site http://www.worldometers.info/abortions/ you can find official data about abortions done in the world. This information is published by World Health organization. According to this data, every year about 40-50 million of women face unwanted pregnancies and make a decision to abort their babies. It is about 125 000 abortions a day. The data of Alan Gutmaher Institute tells us that abortion is legal in 54 countries of the world, which is 61 % of the world population. And only 97 countries (39 % of the world population) abortions are not legalized. Every year approximately 46 million abortions are performed; 20 million of them are done illegally.Praise God for the Blood of Christ that has been shed for atonement of every person and every nation from this curse. Otherwise we would not be able to get out of this vicious circle that we have created by our sinful lifestyle. The Blood of Christ was shed on the Cross of Calvary; that is why we have redemption (freedom from slavery and curse) and forgiveness in His Blood.
«..giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins» (Colossians, 1:12-14).

«Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith» (Galatians, 3: 13-14).
Nevertheless it is necessary for every person to demonstrate his faith in Jesus Christ through personal acceptance of the salvation that God offers and to enter the blessing and the inheritance God is calling us to.
«If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land» (2 Chronicles, 7:14).
When we live in humility before God, when we admit our wrongdoings and repent before God, when we pray and seek His face, then there will be triumph instead of tragedy and God’s mercy instead of judgement. We will talk about it in more detail later on.So we see that our sins and the sins of others are the main reasons of tragedies that take place in our society and that repentance and living in accordance with God’s Word brings healing, blessing and prosperity.I wish you abundant God’s blessings!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Does the Lord answer all prayers?

«If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.» (John 15:7).There is a God´s promise in this scripture: «whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.» Which one of you had prayed for something but it was not given to you? I guess many of you had, so where is the problem? We often read in the Bible that people prayed and received the answer to their prayers. God Himself told us to pray, and He promised to answer our prayers.
  • Changes always come from praying! III

During the past few days we have been talking about the idea of a person being the main initiator of the miracles he needs in his life. In order for God to be able to do something supernatural in the individual’s life this individual must create the natural platform or foundation for this miracle. When you mix your distress with prayer, then the miracle will surely happen and you will have true and undisputable proof of God’s miracle and His supernatural intervention.
  • How to enter your ministry

Yesterday we started discussing how we can enter our ministry. We established that, first; we need a strong desire to serve. This desire is tied to our understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation. As we talked about, ministry helps us to reveal our potential. Ministry helps us to find out about ourselves, our calling in the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth and doing the works that are pleasing to God. God has predestined for us to do particular good works. God desires for us to be fruitful and glorify Him on earth. Through our ministry God wants to fill this earth with the knowledge of Him and His Kingdom. He wants us to establish His principles in every sphere of life and win people for Him by the ministry we do on earth.
  • Jesus as the example of a true minister

We see that Jesus experienced serious difficulties in the days of His earthly life, but He did not focus on them. Jesus was busy serving the Father and those He was sent to serve. While Jesus served people, the Father made sure people ministered to Jesus; God met Jesus’ needs through His ministry. When we serve others, God motivates others to serve us. We always reap what we have sown. We do not serve people because we do not have any problems, – we serve people because it pleases God. And when we serve, despite the fact that we have problems, needs and concerns, God makes sure some people that we do not even know serve us by meeting our needs
  • Without certain changes in our lives we won’t be able to receive God’s vision

The first thing God did to Abram was that He took him out of the tent, out of his comfort zone. While we stay within our comfort zone where we feel at ease, where we do not need to make an effort, where everything goes according to the habitual scenario, we are not able to see what God wants to show us. For this reason God often desires us to get out of our comfort zone, out of our routine lifestyle and for us to put forth some effort to expand our knowledge of the will of God for our life.
