We are created in Christ Jesus

Greetings to you, dear friends! I am so happy for this opportunity to share with you the word God has placed in my heart for this day. I believe it will enrich you and make you stronger. We have been talking about what it means to be new creation in Christ Jesus. In Christ we have received new life and new opportunities. In Christ God gives us a way out of all difficult situations and circumstances. So what does the expression „we are created in Christ Jesus” mean in a practical sense? It means that in Christ we can discover our gifts and find use for them in compliance with God’s predestination. It also means that in Christ Jesus we are guaranteed satisfaction with life.
«You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, even from the rebellious, that the LORD God might dwell there»(Psalm, 68:18).

«But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: „When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.” (Now this, „He ascended”- what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)» (Ephesians, 4: 7-10).
There is a measure of grace (God’s power) that is not available to us until we receive Jesus as God’s gift. As soon as we come «in Christ» by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, His power and grace is released in our life and we are able to realize our potential. In Christ Jesus all the things that were made captive or bound in our lives are made alive and free. Before coming to Christ we all were in captivity. Our gifts, talents and our destiny were in captivity with us. In Christ we were made alive, and it means that our gifts, talents and our destiny were made alive with us. Now, being in Christ, God fills us with His grace and power and we are able to live in all fullness. Jesus descended and ascended into heaven so that He could fill everything including you and me. Now we can be filled with God and His might. This opportunity is given to everyone who is in Christ Jesus. If you haven’t yet made the transition from the accursed seed of Adam into the blessed family of Christ, you can do it right now by calling upon His name and asking Him to come into your heart. If you already are in Christ then thank God for being able to live to the fullest. Stop limiting yourself; accept your destiny from God, go after it and you will be amazed at how much you are able to achieve in Christ. There are no limitations for you in Christ Jesus, because the power and grace of Christ fills you and makes you able to do great exploits. God has exalted you! Do not stay under, but pursue your goals as the apostle Paul did. This is what Paul said about himself:
«Not that I have already attained, or am already perfect; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you» (Philippians, 3: 12-15).
Find your destiny in God and pursue it, and then your life will be filled with meaning. Your family, work and daily routine will be a joy and not a burden. When you know the meaning of life, then life is meaningful and enjoyable. So we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus. Now the question is: «What are we created for in Christ Jesus?» We are created for good works that He predestined for us. We will talk about it tomorrow.God bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

«Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.» (Mark 4:3-8)

«Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up» (James, 4:8-10)From the verses above we see that sin and adultery distance a person from God and block His presence, His power and glory from manifesting. So, besides prayer, there are other things that bring us closer to God and bring His presence into our lives: those are repentance and commitment to live a holy life.
  • Follow me and I will make you!

Do you know that you are not all you could be yet? Only the Lord knows who you are created to be and He wants to make you become who you are really created to be. That is why He said “I will make you”.Peter and His brother were created to be Fishers of men, but they did not know that until they started to follow Christ. The bible said they straightway left their nets, and followed him. Their destiny was changed that very day. That was the point the Lord began to make them into who they were created to be.
  • Ministry changes a selfish person into a loving, compassionate servant of the Lord

It is not a secret that we are all born selfish. Someone might argue and say that does not apply to him or that he is not selfish. If you say that then you are lying! We are all selfish, except the transforming grace of God!What does it mean to be selfish?· A selfish person is one who lives only for himself. He only cares about his world and does not notice what is happening to others around him. A selfish person is only concerned about his life and his comforts.
  • Changes depend on our knowledge

«For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known». (1st Corinthians 13:9-12).
  • Transformed person is a person with the right and pure motives

Transformed person serves other people because he loves them, not in order to benefit from them. It makes me sad when I meet people who minister because it gives them a certain benefits. It´s awfully hard to change a person who has such motives. Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus was one of this kind. For three and a half years he had stayed with Jesus, but in no way it changed him, because he had sinister motives. Judas Iscariot was greedy, money loving man. Jesus put Judas in charge with financial part of His ministry, so he had access to money and offerings. First Judas began to steal money from their pay-box, later also betrayed his Master.
