You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice! II

Welcome, dear friends! Grace and peace to you from Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ! I am glad that you find the time to read „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification” and get strengthened with wisdom we find in God’s Word. The Word of God brings light into our lives. In one of psalms David says:
«For You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness» (Psalm, 18:28).
Allow God to talk to your heart today!Greetings to you, dear friends! I am so happy for this opportunity to share with you the word God has placed in my heart for this day. I believe that this word will strengthen and enrich you.We have been talking about the fact that if you are a born-again believer then you belong to God in two different ways. First, you are His creation (you are His masterpiece), and, second, He bought you with the Blood of Jesus Christ when you were lost in the world of sin.In Christ Jesus we all become new creations.
«Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new» (2 Corinthians, 5:17).
Sin brought death and isolated men from the Creator; in Christ Jesus God gave people life and chance of fellowship and friendship with Him.
«..God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. (..) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him» (2 Corinthians, 5:19, 21).
Notice the phrase „in Christ” that is so often used in the New Testament epistles. This expression sums up the essence of salvation. As soon as we believe in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice and place our trust in Him, we receive His righteousness. It leads to our justification and redemption from sin and slavery that we were sold into and we automatically are united with God. In Christ we are accepted, we are provided for, we are delivered, and we regain our value… all of this because of Jesus Christ and us being IN JESUS CHRIST. Jesus is our connection with God!It says in the Bible that
«there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit» (Romans, 8:1).
This is a significant statement since every person on this earth can either be in Christ or in Adam. It is impossible to be in Christ and in Adam at the same time. At the moment of birth we automatically are born into the family of Adam; our transition into the family of Jesus Christ is an individual choice of every person. It says in the Bible that
«as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive» (1 Corinthians, 15:22).
In Adam we all inherited death and shame. In Adam we are limited by different circumstances and it is the fruit of the fall. But in Christ
«who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you»(1 Peter, 1:3-4).
All the consequence of sinful life, all the guilt, shame and limitations that have entered our life because of sin can be annulled only in Christ. In Christ we have gained new life and new opportunities. Now none of us can complain that he cannot realize his potential because of some past mistakes or difficult circumstances. God has declared us free from any consequences of sin. In Him you will realize all of your inner potential. In Christ God has given all of us a solution and a way out!Tomorrow we will talk about what it means to be created in Christ Jesus.I wish you God’s abundant blessings!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • The principle of a right confession

God helped Abraham to believe Him, Who calls those things which do not exist as though they did. This is the principle of right confession. God calls those things that do not exist as though they did. When God gave Abram a new name – Abraham, he did not have any descendants. Neverthelss, because of this new name Abraham began calling himself “a father of many nations”. And when he called himself by name or he was called by others – every time what God had purposed was confessed – particularly that Abraham is going to be a father of many nations. We see that Abraham „contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations…”
  • Transformed person is a person with the right and pure motives

Transformed person serves other people because he loves them, not in order to benefit from them. It makes me sad when I meet people who minister because it gives them a certain benefits. It´s awfully hard to change a person who has such motives. Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus was one of this kind. For three and a half years he had stayed with Jesus, but in no way it changed him, because he had sinister motives. Judas Iscariot was greedy, money loving man. Jesus put Judas in charge with financial part of His ministry, so he had access to money and offerings. First Judas began to steal money from their pay-box, later also betrayed his Master.
  • How does a truly responsible person look like? II

A responsible person is organized, disciplined and diligent even when nobody watches him or her. Such a person determines what he needs to do, when he needs to do it and makes the necessary effort to accomplish it. A responsible person submits to what he needs to do. Since he understands the importance of being responsible, he cannot be idle or inert. A responsible person effectively uses his time, his energy and his resources.
  • God calls each of us to do good works in Jesus Name II

«For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them» (Ephesians, 2:10).The underlined part of this verse tells us that God has a plan that we should carry out. One of the main tasks in this life is for us to find out this plan. After his salvation Apostle Paul set his heart on finding out his purpose in life.

«Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! ’» (Matthew, 7:21-23).
