Your gift will make room for you! II

Good morning, dear friends! Praise God for the wonderful day He has given us! Thank God for one more opportunity to be filled with His living Word!Yesterday we began talking about how all great things always start small and insignificant. In order to enter the fullness of your calling and ministry, we need to do what is revealed to us today whatever that would be. Your knowledge, your experience and your mind – these are all gifts from God which we can use in serving people. When you serve people with your gifts, then these gifts make room for you.
«A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).
Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries. For example, Dr. T.L. Osborn saw that people needed salvation, so he started meeting this need to the best of his ability: he started printing little tracts on his printing machine and went door to door leaving them in their post boxes. At the time he couldn’t even imagine that it will lead him to huge international evangelistic ministry that he has today.Today T.L Osborn is one of the veterans and apostles of world evangelism of his generation. He has preached in more than 95 countries of the world; he encouraged many and lit the fire of the Holy Spirit in many people that are the leading ministers of this generation. We can name others such as Archbishop Idahosa, Moris Cerullo, John Osteen, R.W. Schambach and many others. But the ministry of T.L. Osborn began small; he did what he could. Afterwards his gift made room for him in the Body of Christ.I once heard a story of a sister in the Lord who was paralyzed. Notwithstanding, this sister wanted to find her ministry in the Body of Christ. So she started to pray for every house and every family in her street. The result was that most of the people who lived in this street got saved. When it was done, she started praying for the families that lived in the neighbourhood – with the same result. Through this she found her gift, – it was the ministry of intercessor, – and she found her place in the Body of Christ. All of this happened because she just did what she could to promote the work of God’s Kingdom. It says in the Bible:
«Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might…» (Ecclesiastes, 9:10).
I think that in the beginning it was very hard for this lady. She needed to invest time and to be patient and diligent. She did all of it and found her place. This lady was consistent in prayer; she prayed all the time without taking any breaks. Besides, she prayed fervently and with all of her might. She did her best and consequently she discovered her ministry area. Her circumstances and her condition did not hinder her from bringing fruit to God.Reasons of barrenness of many believers are not found in their circumstances; most often it is their laziness, passivity and inconsistency. If you will do what your hands find to do and you will do it with all of your heart then you will receive your inheritance – the ministry and the blessing that follows it.
«And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ» (Colossians, 3: 23-24).
Do whatever you can wholeheartedly, as unto the Lord, and you will receive the great reward from Him!May the Lord bless you!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

Yesterday we saw that God had asked Abram to leave his country, his father’s house and his relatives and to go to the land that He would show.“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you” (Genesis, 12:1).
  • Purpose for living

Many people ask themselves a question of why they feel inner emptiness. So many continue to walk the wrong way in their lives, and it goes on day after day. They feel their life to be aimless and they continue their walk unmotivated.Multitudes of people do not have a clue of why they live and whether the life is worth living. All of these things happen because they do not have a clear purpose for living.
  • In order for us to do the works of Jesus, we must ask for it in prayer!

«Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son» (John, 14:12-13).When Jesus Himself says ‘most assuredly’, it means He wants us to pay attention. These two verses are connected. Jesus says that we can do the works that Jesus did and even more, if we pray. Jesus tried to tell His disciples that He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth and that He will represent them in heaven, because He will be sitting with Him on the heavenly throne. Jesus told His disciples that they should ask in His name and that He would do what they ask so that His Father would be glorified.
  • Presence of God

«For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth» (Exodus, 33:16).God’s presence makes us stronger and more glorious. If God’s presence is so necessary, then how can we experience it in our lives?
  • How did Jesus ensure the presence of God in His life? II

«Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that on of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples» (Luke, 11:1)The disciples understood that the presence of God in the life of Jesus was closely related to His ability to pray, and they decided to watch Him no more. They realized that they also can come into this presence; that is why they asked Jesus about it.
  • The Christian as an ambassador

There are many metaphors used in the Bible to reveal to us what are our essence and our task on the Earth. The word “messenger or “ambassador” is one of them. Paul uses this word in his letter to Corinthians:«Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God». (2nd Corinthians 5:19-20).
