God comes to us seeking for fruits of saved souls in our life

Good day, dear friends! I praise God for another opportunity to share God’s wisdom with you. As we have said before, God expects us to testify about Jesus and bear fruits of saved souls. Jesus said:
“When the Counsellor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me. You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning” (John 15:26-27).

“and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:47-48).

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
We can bear fruits for God if we through our deeds, our prayers, our testimony, our life, our love, our faith and our compassion we are drawing more and more people to God. I have a question for you – how many people have found their way to Jesus because of your efforts and actions? God is seeking fruits in our life, so we should understand this is not an abstract question but a quite serious one that demands a definite response or answer. A vivid fruit we can bear for God are the people who are saved by virtue of our efforts in the Name of the Lord. You are probably telling God now how you are praying without ceasing. That’s great, but God is very interested in the fruits your prayers are bearing,- He wants to see how many people have turned to Him because of your prayers. I understand we need time, patience and persistence to see the real fruits of our work. However, if you’ve been a believer for a long time, let’s say, four years already, isn’t this time long enough for you to be seeing some fruits of saved people through your efforts? If you are already bearing such fruits and can boast of have some people who have come to know the Lord through you, then my question to you is this: do you believe God can save more people through your testimony? If so, what are you doing to make that happen? You have to fulfil your part, rely on the Holy Spirit and do everything that depends on you to share the Gospel, and then God will fulfil His part. There are many believers who have been saved for years, but they cannot boast of any single person who has been converted to the Lord God through their life or witness. No one has ever been saved because of their prayers, their preaching the Gospel or because of sharing their testimony. This kind of life is what the bible refers to as barrenness or infertility, isn’t it? This is the most pitiful situation that can ever happen to a disciple of Christ. It’s necessary to destroy the curse of barrenness or fruitless life in your life, because God comes to us seeking for fruits of saved souls in our life. Let me ask you a question: “Did you just suddenly repented by yourself or somebody helped you with that by sharing the gospel with you? I believed somebody pray for you and shared Gospel with you! I am sure your coming to God was the result of someone’s efforts. Every sinner who ever repented is a fruit that result from someone’s labour. You probably may not even know the person who actually prayed for you and for the salvation of your soul. Nonetheless, your coming to Christ is the result of someone’s efforts, – someone who loved you enough to pray for you, and share the love of Christ with you. Many people had prayed for me before I came to Jesus. One day I came home after work, and sat down outside near my house and began to think about my life. That moment a young man approached me with the Bible in his hands and introduced himself as Rufus. It warmed me up because my name is Rufus too. The man said he would like to tell me a story, so he began to testify about Christ. Something happened to me that moment; I was carefully listening to him with great pleasure. Earlier I used to argue with those who tried to testify to me about Christ. I had studied the Bible in school; therefore, I could refute anybody who tried to testify to me. Sometimes I even managed to push such preachers into a corner with hard questions they could not answer. Many of the people who tried to witness to me stepped out of debates with me because they couldn’t find an answer to my questions. However, when this Rufus approached me I didn’t dare to argue at all, moreover, I swallowed every word he said and all my questions disappeared. I realised that this man possessed something I needed in my life, so I expressed my readiness to follow him to the church he was attending even before he made such proposal. By virtue of his prayers and his testimony I turned to God and repented of my sins. I am his fruit of salvation. Imagine if the young man had not done anything about me. Sure there would have been somebody else, but there are different situations in our life, I cold have died or something mean could have happened to me before others could reach me. There is one thing I am certain about; I am saved and bearing fruits of salvation to God today because that young man used the opportunity given to him to share the Gospel with me. God wants us to use every opportunity He gives us to introduced and bring other people to Christ before the devil manage to harm or destroy them. Pray and ask the Lord on a daily basis to send people on your way so you can testify about Him to them. God will send people to you, He will send those people who need your assistance and help, those who have questions you can answer, or who have situations in their lives that you can help them address. He will send people to you who are ripe for salvation just like Cornelius in the book of Acts 10. You will be the right person in the right place in their lives, because you are praying for God to use you to bring others to Him. May the Lord bless you all!Rufus Ajiboye, pastor

But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.» (Mark 4:3-8)

  • Life is a trust

You should understand there is nothing that belongs to you. Your life itself is not yours, it’s a trust God has shown to you. Understanding this truth changes the way you respond to what is going on around you.You do not live for yourself; you did not appear on this Earth by your own act of will or for your own personal purpose. God has given life to you as a sign of His trust for you. You are entrusted with life from God and the day will come when you will have to give account to God for the life He given to you, – for all your deeds and words while living in your body.
  • The true knowledge of God only come through the One Who is ‘ in the bosom of the Father’ – from Jesus

The word “Father’s bosom” means very close to the Father’s heart, to be by the Father’s side or on the Father’s breast. That word was used in John to describe John leaning on Jesus: «Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved» (John, 13:23).So Jesus was close to Father’s heart, and that is why He was able to manifest God to us. The true knowledge of God only come through the One Who is ‘ in the bosom of the Father’ – from Jesus.
  • Changes mean working hard persistently II

While growing up and changing we will see how we become more patient. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit God wants to be visible in your life. Therefore, God sometimes permits conflicts in your life, to help you with developing the fruit of patience. God desires to trample our pride thus transforming us into likeness of loving, persevere Christ. You are still arrogant if you show resentment at nonsense. God desires to help you to get rid of this arrogance. That´s why He allows people to do wrong to us. God is trying to teach us how to handle such situations, so that we are able to build relationships with people as His representatives on this Earth. Everything God permits in our life works together for good if we let Him mould us.
