Where there is life there is hope

Hello Friends, I welcome you today to our daily word for Spiritual strength. Today I want us to talk a little bit about hope. God’s word for you simply put is this: Where there is life there is hope.Hope is one of the greatest words of the Christian faith. It is one word the unsaved man cannot use, because there is no hope for the unsaved according to the Bible (Ep.2: 11-13). If you are reading this word today and you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your hope begins with that step. If you want to take that step but you don’t really understand what that means and how to do it, please read our booklet: The Jesus you never knew or visit our page: becoming a friend of God.The Christian have hope because he has life in Christ. There are at least four source of Hope for the believer.
  1. We have hope because of salvation (Roman 5:1-2). We have been justified by faith, which mean we have right standing before God through Christ and we have access into the grace of God. We rejoice in hope. It is not a vague dream, it is not a feeling but a diving an assurance or certainty. Because you are saved by faith through Christ, even if you die right now, you have the blessed assurance that you will be ushered and welcome into the blessed presence of God.
  2. We also have hope in suffering (Roman 5: 3-4). This scripture says “tribulation worketh patience and patience experience and experience hope…” Suffering cannot break you because of your relationship with God and your access to His grace or power. Suffering makes the unbeliever give up all hopes. It is not so and should not be so for a believer. When you know that suffering produces character in you, then you will have the hope to confidently face your sufferings. When Christian suffers he rejoices in hope because he knows that God is in control. The darker the night is, the brighter the stars of God’s promises gleams. His promises stand out brightly in front of us as we face our daily challenges and as we cling unto them hope will never varnish. Roman 8: 17 says that to suffer with Christ is to be glorified with Him, so the hope to be glorified with Christ should help us to face of trials with joy.
  3. The believers also have hope because of the scriptures (Rom.15: 4). No book inspires faith and encouragement like the scriptures. As you read the stories of God’s dealing with His people in the Bible you find your faith growing stronger and stronger. The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God (Roman10: 17). You have hope in life because you are saved, you have God’s promises in your tribulation, you have access to His grace and power and you have a Bible. Plug into your sources of Hope today.
  4. We have hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. One last source of hope I will not fail to measure is the Holy Spirit, Who is our Helper and guide. For example, He will use the word you read to increase your hope as Paul prayed in Rom.15: 13:
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost”.
No matter what you are going through right now The Holy Spirit is right by your side ready to fill you with hope, joy and peace. The only condition is for you to believe and turn to the sources of hope that God has made available for His children.Where there is salvation, God’s promises, the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit-there is hope. Don’t be deceived by your situations and circumstances in life. Where there is life, there is Hope!Till next time. Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

«.. and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful» (Revelation, 17:14).In order to join the army of victors in Christ Jesus, it is important for us to be qualified in these three areas: in your calling, in been a chosen vessel and in faithfulness. Tomorrow we will talk about it in detail, but today I’d like you to see that the war is inescapable; but in this war God counts on His called, chosen and faithful people.
  • Changes through Ministry III

Ministry helps us to live for others not just for ourselves. When a person has a servant or serving heart, his life is focused on making other people happy instead of waiting on the other people to make him happy. Somebody with such an attitude and life position has no time for depression or for self-pity. His life is rather focused on searching for and helping other people who lives in poorer conditions himself instead of sitting around celebrating self- pity party. The person who understands the purpose of true ministry doesn’t live for himself, but his goal is to love God and to love other people.
  • Preparation is a key to effective life! II

Your tomorrow is the outcome of your today´s efforts and time you spend. Your today impacts your tomorrow, therefore, you better prepare yourself for tomorrow, use your time to develop yourself, building up your character and skills. If you disobey God today, you will not be able to enter your promised land tomorrow, due to the cruelty of your heart. If you take care for today, God will take care for your tomorrow then.
  • We are the salt of the earth and light of the world

We continue talking about our role and function as God’s ambassadors on the earth. We’ve talked about the Bible calling us Christ’s ambassadors; God has sent us to encourage people to be reconciled with God. The Bible also calls us the salt of the earth and the light to the world. But if we as Christ’s ambassadors on earth do not actively practise our faith, then our society will deteriorate. Today, if we look at successful and prosperous countries, we can see the reason of their success and prosperity is because the people there embrace and practice Christian values. Only righteousness exalts a nation – Thai is a law, – God’s law. Only righteousness makes a nation prosperous! Injustice and sin destroy a nation.
  • Where to get joy?

«The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes» (Psalm 19:8-9).This passage of Scriptures tells us that one of the sources of joy is God’s Word, meditation on the Word and the perception of the (our) world through the prism of the Word. That is why it is so important for us to realize that if we want to remain in joy and learn to draw joy, we must grow in love with God’s Word.
  • Our willingness to be accountable to others and what you do or not do is the determining factor of our character

«I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me» (Philippians, 4:13).It means that I must completely rely on Christ and His Word and draw spiritual strength through personal fellowship with Him. Besides, it means that I receive God’s power and support through other members of the Body of Christ. I am united with Christ directly and also through my relationships with other members of His Body.
