Let’s first win the hearts of people..

Good morning, dear friends! Praise God for the opportunity to share God’s Word with you!Today I’d like us to discuss the life of Abraham. I believe God wants to show us some very important principles that can be gleaned from the life of Abraham and in his relationship with God.
“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis, 12:1-3)
From the above Scripture we see that God is calling Abram to leave his country and his relatives and to go to an unknown land. God offered to make a covenant with Abram, which would require certain sacrifices from Abram. But along with this offer and calling, God touched Abram’s heart by giving him wonderful promises. Before requiring Abram to make a covenant with Him, God first won his heart. This is a very important principle I would like you to think about today. First, God promised Abram something – God promised to make him great, to bless him, and to make him into a great nation; He promised Abram that through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. We see that these promises became an instrument of encouragement, which God has used to demonstrate His love for Abram before calling him to do something or to go somewhere. This principle is a clue for us today in the area of building relationships with people. Before we ask people to follow us or to enter into a covenant with us, we need to first touch their hearts, conquer them and win them over with love. God first won Abram’s heart by giving him great and wonderful promises, and only then did He offer to enter into a covenant with him. Would a young lady marry a man who has made a proposal to her, but who has not really proven his love through his deeds? A sensible girl with any self-respect won’t do that. That is what this principle that we see in the relationship between God and Abram is all about. We can apply this principle when preaching the Gospel and calling people to follow the Lord. Before we ask people to follow us we must show that we love them and care for them as human beings, and that we are not just ‘following a religious program’. Let’s master this principle and apply it as we minister to people and try to lead them in the right direction in accordance with the will of God. Let’s first win the hearts of people, show them true love, and then they will listen to our words and most probably follow us.May God bless you! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Is anything too hard for the Lord?

This question is so crucial because how we answer it will determine the measure of God’s involvment in our lives. This question helps us to realize that how much we know about God affects the level of our faith. When a person believes that there is nothing impossible for God, that person has a particular attitude towards life, a particular reaction to hardships, a particular spiritual attitude that appears when he or she runs into difficult problems that do not change for a long time.
  • Organization of effective prayer life

Prayer is a very important and necessary part of our spiritual life and can be compared to breathing, which is vital for our physical life. In other words, prayer is our spiritual breathing. The one who is not breathing is not alive. In the very same way, prayer is what makes us alive in spiritual sense. Thus, without prayer we are spiritually dead. This year we have talked a lot about serving God, and it is very important as well. We need to serve God! We need to serve people! But we will never be effective in our ministry to God and people without effective prayer.Remember it!
  • What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? II

Problems try and purify our faith.Quite often the Bible compares sufferings with the furnace used for the purification of metal that burns up all the dross. “In this your greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter, 1:6-7).
  • The goal and intentions of God for men on the earth

Heaven is the place from which Jesus rules and reigns over everything. What God says about us in His Word is the truth which we must believe. Now we have God’s nature in us and it must be continually fed and nurtured. We must believe that now we have heavenly authority and power that was given to us in order to destroy the works of devil on earth. That is what Jesus did when He walked on the planet earth: He destroyed and undo the works and intentions of the devil. He set an example for us to follow in His foot steps:«For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil» (1 John, 3:8b).
  • Effective prayer of a believer is a serious threat to Satan´s plans and actions

Why does Satan hate it and is afraid of the prayers of the children of God? This is because in a prayer, we and God become a team – an invincible team. In the Book of Daniel, there is a description of an event when a certain group of people prompted the king to issue a law prohibiting contact in a prayer with the living God. Except for the living God, they were allowed to pray any other gods. They were allowed to ask for help to people, but not only living God. And it was Satan´s plan. Why does Satan put these obstacles? Because he realized that the prayer is power.
