The conclusion about potential benefit from hardship, painful times and problems

Dear friend. I am praying in the name of Jesus’ that the spirit of God’s wisdom and revelation will be multiplied in your life through the “Daily Word of Spiritual Strength”. Today I would like to close our theme about potential benefit from hardship, painful times and problems. Let’s recall what we have learned so far. *) We talked about how God uses our pain and problems for our spiritual growth; *) We talked about the fact that there is benefit in our times of hardship. Problems and pain focus our attention as nothing else does. They teach us to lean on God, they test and refine our faith, form our character, prepare us for eternity and Problems give us a chance to obtain the necessary experience for  ministry to other people. *) We talked about the importance of making right choices, because if we do not make the right choices, times of hardship by themselves will not make us more mature in God. Problems have the potential to be of benefit to us, but this is not something that comes automatically with a problem; *) We talked about finding and acknowledging the root of our problems and pains as this helps us to decide on the right action we have to take; *) We talked how we can “feed” our hope, so we do not just endure our pains and problems, but at the same time we can become mature and transformed as we await the second coming of the Lord Jesus. In conclusion, I would like us to turn again to the word of God:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called, those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.”(Rom 8:28-30)
According to the verses above we must remember that for those who love God, All things works for the good – including our problems, our pains, and sufferings. Uncertainty and things unknown can cause us to worry and become anxious. In the times of hardship worries and fear can become our biggest enemy, but only the truth can set us free and the truth says – in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. It is pointless worrying about what will or will not happen, it is better for us to play our part so that God in His grace can do His, working out all things for our good. The question is – what does it mean “playing our part”? First of all, make sure you love God with all you heart as it is said “God works for the good of those who love HimSecondly, you must love God and keep focusing on fulfilling the calling that you have received from Him. Do not focus on your suffering and pain, but focus on God and His calling upon your life and only then will everything work out for your good.  Real happiness is found in the fulfilment of his or her calling. Serve the Lord and He will bless you! But be careful; do not focus all your attention on the blessings you are going to receive, because that is God’s part. Your part is to serve and love the Lord with all your heart, being a reflection of God’s love to the people around you. And God will do His part! And then everything will work out for your good! Remember, your right attitude to life while you are going through times of hardship will allow you to draw out the potential benefits imbedded in that hardship. Disobedience will only multiply your sufferings and problems, but your obedience will turn everything around for your good. Be blessed! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
  • Thanksgiving as the basis of worship II

God did so much for Joseph. He saved his life when his brothers wanted to kill him. God showed him favor when he was sold into slavery. God abundantly blessed the work of his hands that his master placed him over his whole property. Joseph never forgot these blessings from the Lord. The realizations of God’s mercy filled Joseph’s heart with gratitude toward God and his master.
  • The importance of stopping all activities and being alone with God

«From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden.»Jesus came to Tyra and Sidon to find some solitude and rest from people because His last day was coming closer – the day of His death on the Golgotha. Possibly, Jesus wanted to be alone with His Father to discuss what was awaiting Him on the Golgotha. Thus, Jesus was showing us an example of stopping all activities and being alone with God. We also need – every once in a while – to leave all the clutter of this world and all its cares and to find time for being alone with the Father. God is calling you today to find right time and a right place to be alone with God even among all the cares and stresses of this world. By doing it you will be able to gain access to godly wisdom, receive peace from God and succeed in this life.
  • The factors upon which a man’s breakthrough in life depends

Getting accustomed to the situation. Very often people get used to their situations and will not try to do anything to change their state of being. This lame guy got used to sitting on the same spot for 40 years and probably did not believe in any change any more.I read this story about one dog that has been tied to a pillar. Each time the dog tried to run, she felt the restriction. After several attempts the dog got used to its position. And even after this dog was untied, it still continued to move around only within the habitual radius.
  • What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? IV

In order for us to learn react to problems and pain in a correct manner we need a revelation about the fact that while we live in this world there will be no end to pain and hardships. For as long as sin exists on the earth pain won’t cease in people’s lives. We suffer not only due to our own sins and wrong decisions, but also due to the sins and wrong decisions of other people.Joshua and Caleb, as well as the whole generation of Israel that finally entered the Promised Land were forced to wander through the wilderness for almost 40 years. Why? We know that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit and they believed God and walked in obedience. Nevertheless, due to the wrong decisions made by other people they had to suffer and wander in the wilderness for all that time.
  • Walk in the light and do not give place to the devil! III

If we walk in the ways of the Lord and guard our ways, then God will give us authority to rule, command and walk among angels. If we will walk in the ways of God and receive the lordship of Jesus Christ, we will be able effectively hinder the work of the devil in our lives and the lives of the people around us.Satan will never be able to dispute the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord. But if we are unclean before the Lord, then the devil can dispute the reality of this truth in our lives and oppose us.
