How to set grace free in our lives? II

I am glad to welcome you to our Daily Word for Spiritual Strength section! I believe that God has a word of encouragement for you today!

We began to talk about how to set free the power of favour in our lives. Yesterday we found out that our awareness of the laws of life brings the favour on display in our lives. We also said that one of the main laws governing the operation of favour in our lives, is the law of sowing and reaping.

Today, I want us to return to the discussion of this law.

The law of sowing and reaping governs how favour works. It is necessary to look at favour as a seed that must be sown.
Jesus said that,

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matthew 5:7).

In other words, Jesus is saying, “Blessed are those who have sown favour or mercy, because they will reap favour or mercy.”

Generally, the level of favour operating in your life depends on the amount of the seed of favour you sow into other people’s lives. This means that I cannot expect the harvest of favour in my life until I have sown mercy into other people’s lives.

It is important to understand that favour does not just jump on people and does not come automatically or by accident. Note as well that favour is not the function of prayers and fasting alone. Basically, the power of favour is subjected to the law of sowing and reaping.

If you are graceful towards the Kingdom of God and other people, then you can confidently expect favour to come and fill your life.

You will reap only from the seeds of favour that you are sowing. Therefore the Bible says,

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7).

If you are cheating people and are not faithful in your lifestyle, then you are choosing the hard way for yourself. You cannot manage to avoid the consequences of the law of sowing and reaping. You will receive with gain all that you have been sowing into other people’s lives.

Please understand that favour is a seed that will yield a harvest in our lives after we have sown it. You have the abilities and opportunities to sow favour; therefore do not wait for favour, but start right now to provoke or initiate favour by sowing the seed of kindness into the lives of those surrounding you!

May God bless you!

  • Lust brings sin, and sin brings death II

Lust is excessive appetite for something. For example, uncontrollable sexual desire leads to rape, fornication, adultery and different types of sexual perversion. It can also lead to sexual illnesses, sometimes incurable. Moreover, feelings of guilt, depression, suicidal tendencies, breaking up of marriages, sufferings of children, violence, hatred and other similar things are often the result of sexual lust. Lust can also be experienced in the area of finances, drinking or eating. It all has brought pain and suffering to many people in the form of some addiction: alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, stealing, treachery, murder etc.

  • Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have! II

God gives to us gifts according to our ability, so He does not call us to do the thigs we are not able to. If God has asked you to do something, it is only because He knows you are able to do it. He won’t give you more than you are able to bear. Simply use what you have.I once read a story about a woman who built a school for the needy. Before she began this, a desire was born in her heart to do it. It became her dream that she was thinking of consistently. At that moment she did not have a thing: no textbooks, no teachers, no building, and no money. But she did have a tremendous desire to fulfil her dream.

  • The fruitfulness of a Christian starts with the discovery of God’s will in all areas of his life and the readiness to fulfills it

«And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God» (Romans, 12: 2).We are filled with the knowledge of God’s will through renewing our minds by the Word of God. Through the renewal of our minds we learn to think as God thinks and look at our lives through His eyes. You won’t be able to please God if you are not doing His will for your life. In order to do His will you first need to discover it. That is why wise people who want to bring real fruit for God through their lives devote themselves to discovering and comprehending what God wants to do in their lives and through their lives. We have pointed out many times that a person can become fruitful by renewing of his or her mind through personal fellowship with God, prayer and intensive study of God’s Word.

  • Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth

“Put to death your body”- means letting the resurrected life that dwells in you spring its roots. By feeding our old sinful nature we strengthen it and as a result of this the sinful nature prevails the resurrected life inside us. In opposite, when thinking about things that are above ans seeking those things we enable ourselves to celebrate a victory over sin and the old nature.Quite often, when somebody hears that he has to put his body to death he says to himself: “I can´t do it!” This is the voice of your old nature. Though, let me share the good news with you – the Bible says, when Christ reveals Himself so will you in His glory, and your new life will be transformed into abundant life. If we have fellowship with God, seek things that are above and reason about Him, then Christ will definitely reveal Himself in our life.
