The implanted Word of God changes an individual: his reactions, emotions, behaviour

Greetings to you, dear friends!I was looking forward to sharing with you the truth of how important it is to have the Word of God engrafted in our hearts. We have talked about the fact that the implanted Word of God changes an individual: his reactions, emotions, behaviour.
“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (James, 1:21).
For the Word of God to be implanted in you, you must ‘lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness’. If you are mad at everybody then you won’t be able to hear and comprehend the Word; you will read it, but it won’t work in your life. The process of engrafting requires special treatment and protection in order to preserve the tree from infection. The same can be said about a human heart, – it must be protected from wickedness so that the Word of God could be planted and then bring forth fruit – the fruit of salvation. The Scripture above says that we must receive the implanted word with meekness. What does it mean? ‘With meekness’ means with submission to God and His Word giving up our rights. It is only with this attitude that the implanted Word of God can bring salvation into your life.
«But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves» (James, 1:22).
When the Word has been implanted into you, it starts to control your actions and you start to do the Word. If you hear the word, but do not do it, it means it hasn’t been planted in you.You can know the Word, understand it in your mind and even agree with it; but unless the Word is planted in you, you won’t do it. It is because the word is not не engrafted in the heart that an inner struggle goes on in a person. A struggle such as : «I believe the Word, but somehow I do not do it. I believe the Word to be true, but I act differently».God says that if we live that way, we deceive ourselves. We deceive ourselves, and then we try to blame others for what happens to us; we do not take full responsibility for our lives. First of all, we need to check the condition of our hearts.Nevertheless, that does not mean that other people will never treat us wrong. It also does not mean that we will always have perfect circumstances. In spite of it, our hearts should and can be right.
«For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was» (James, 1:23-24).
Dear friend, your destiny is in your hands and nobody else – but you – is responsible for your life!Have a great day!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Submission to God

Submission to God doesn´t mean doing everything that comes to your mind. Contrariwise, it makes us responsible for getting to know what God bears in His heart regarding His will to our life. For this reason you have to submit yourself in whole to the Lord in order to have fellowship with Him as a source of inspiration, freshness and guidance. Everybody who experienced His power in his life and became a tool of His mercy constantly submitted himself to the Lord.
  • Organization of effective prayer life

Prayer is a very important and necessary part of our spiritual life and can be compared to breathing, which is vital for our physical life. In other words, prayer is our spiritual breathing. The one who is not breathing is not alive. In the very same way, prayer is what makes us alive in spiritual sense. Thus, without prayer we are spiritually dead. This year we have talked a lot about serving God, and it is very important as well. We need to serve God! We need to serve people! But we will never be effective in our ministry to God and people without effective prayer.Remember it!
  • The importance of turning at the reproof of the Lord.

The Bible tells us that God will correct us because He loves us and is delighted in our prosperity. He will not live us to wander in our unrighteous ways. He will rebuke, chastise and discipline those He love just like any father will do to his children.“My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” (Proverbs 3:11-12).
  • How to walk in forgiveness

Stop making excuses for your offenses. When we make excuses, it becomes more difficult for us to get out of the offenses. When we confess any manifestations of offenses and see them as sin before God, then we start walking in the right direction. It is quite possible that you were mistreated, but it does not give you right not to forgive. If your reaction on the things happening to you does not please God – and unforgiveness never pleases God, – then you need to repent and ask God to forgive you.
  • Practical suggestions that can make your Bible studies more effective II

If you treat the Bible as any other book and do not apply it to your life, then it will be boring and you won’t understand why you ever need to read it. In one of His parables, Jesus said that some people hear the word and do it, and that is why they become wiser. When problems or life storms come into their lives, they go through them with dignity. It is because what they read does not remain theoretical; for them it is applicable and practical.
