What are you doing with your talent? III

Greetings to you on this wonderful day that God has made for us! Nobody and nothing can separate us from the love and care of God! Today God presents us with another opportunity to draw wisdom from His Word. His Word is live and powerful! His Word still saves, heals, makes wise and gives direction in this life. God Himself is behind it!We are talking about the importance of God’s Kingdom and the implementation of our talents for the good of this Kingdom. We have to continually remind ourselves that this world – however attractive – is not our home. Our hearts need to think on things above.
«Set your mind on things above» (Colossians, 3:2).
But you cannot mentally switch and start thinking about the things above, because it is a process. It depends on your lifestyle. So Jesus tells us to invest ourselves and our treasures into the Kingdom of God, because where your treasures are, your heart will be also. If you continuously think on how you can build God’s Kingdom, – investing your finances, time, strength and effort into it, – then your heart will also be there. It is a law: your heart will be where your treasures are.But if your treasures are not in the Kingdom of God, then you might even be in the church, but your thoughts and your heart will be elsewhere. How can you make sure that your heart is in love with Jesus and His Kingdom? It is done by investing yourself and your treasures into the Kingdom of God.What are you doing with your talents?
«For the kingdom of heaven is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey» (Mathew, 25:14-15).
This passage of Scripture tells us several things. Every one of us has some type of talent, one or more. It relates to absolutely everyone, but different people have different attitude towards their talents.
«Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money» (Mathew, 25:16-18).
This parable demonstrates to us two categories of people that live in this world and in the Kingdom of God. Everyone has a talent; everyone has something he can start with in serving God and investing himself into God’s Kingdom. There are people that are very serious about their talents given to them by God. Also there are other people that are very neglectful about their talents. One person works hard to multiply his talents, to use it, to develop it in order to bring more fruit for the Lord, but another thinks of different things and he has no time for development and use of his talents for the Kingdom of God, so he buries them.Which one are you? What are you busy with? Your life depends on it – here, on earth, and in heaven. Find time today to survey your life and see where you are investing your time and your talents. Tomorrow we explore in more detail why this is so important.Till tomorrow!God bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

Yesterday we began talking about the importance of knowing God’s will for our lives. We established that God has a particular plan with precise assignments for every person. But God reveals His plan gradually.God reveals His plan to us as we reach certain levels of maturity and grow in our ability to accept what He has prepared for us. As God shows us the details of His plan, we can learn to walk in obedience in those areas where God has already revealed us His will. And during this time we can simply trust Him to carry out His sovereign plan for our life.

God did so much for Joseph. He saved his life when his brothers wanted to kill him. God showed him favor when he was sold into slavery. God abundantly blessed the work of his hands that his master placed him over his whole property. Joseph never forgot these blessings from the Lord. The realizations of God’s mercy filled Joseph’s heart with gratitude toward God and his master.

The only way to see what the Father is doing is to spend time with the father. If you don’t want to just go about doing your own things in your own way, please follow the example of Jesus. Place yourself in a place where you can receive the love of God and allow Him to show you what He is doing now around you, so that you can join Him in His works.
  • Hope of salvation II

Today Abraham´s example shows us the way of life we should live in this world. It also helps us to understand the role of hope at the battle of the last days. Nothing in this world captured him nor temptation to become rich could influence his relationships with God, because he had the hope of salvation. Having the hope of salvation makes walking in faith easy nowadays. Regardless of what you have or lack you can easily rejoice even nowadays.
  • The law of multiplication II

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:5-6). This Scripture confirms that the one who sows and labours – even if it takes tears – will doubtlessly reap with joy. If we use our God given seed correctly, which means if we sow the seed even with tears then God promises us abundant harvest and lots of joy. All these parables of Jesus tell us of the kingdom of God.
