Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have!

Greetings to you on this wonderful summer day! Indescribable beauty of nature that has been created by God surrounds us every day. Find some time today to look at the sky, to enjoy trees, flowers, and birds. God is the Amazing Creator of visible and invisible things. And everything He has created is wonderful and perfect. In the same amazing manner God created every human being. King David said:
«I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well» (Psalm 139:14).
Every human being is a unique work of God. Every one has been given unique abilities and talents. There isn’t one unnecessary person on this earth; there isn’t one insignificant talent or ability. Everything that God created is needed by someone and is intended as a blessing for someone. Look at yourself today in a new light and see that you are a unique personality highly gifted by God; you are a unique specimen. There isn’t another person on this earth like you! But sometimes we are distracted when we start comparing ourselves to others and envying them just because they have something we do not have. For this reason we stop appreciating the things that God has given us and sometimes it makes us passive and inert.I remember how God gave me a desire to right a book about fasting. At first I thought, «Why do I need to write about it? What new things can I reveal in it? What else can be written on the topic?» When a friend of mine who lives in Germany heard my contemplation, he said he did not agree with me. He said, «May be there are many things written about it, but you are going to write your book. You will write like nobody else. It will be an original and unique work». He persuaded me and I wrote the book. One day I went to Kiev and a woman came to me. She started to thank me for writing the book. She said that she was from Armenia and than my book had become a great blessing for her. I was astounded because I had never been to Armenia. She said she had read ‘Then they will fast’, which was the first edition of my book and consisted of only 20 pages. (Now we have the second edition available.) This lady told me that she had problems with fasting. She had tried fasting, but was not successful. She had read multitude of books by great preachers such as Derek Prince etc. But nothing worked until she read my 20-page book about fasting. She said that she experienced a total breakthrough in the area. This lady greatly encouraged me with her testimony. Today I can freely say that I praise God for not being Derek Prince, for example. Derek Prince was more talented; he could reveal the truths of the Scripture in a special way and I am glad for it. But I am also glad that I am Rufus. Each of us has received from God according to our ability. A problem is that some people use their God-given talents, but others do not.It is not important how many talents you have; it is important that you are using what you have. Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have. That is what the parable of talents is all about.May God help you us your uniqueness and apply your potential for the spreading of God’s Kingdom. May it be said about you,
«His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord» (Mathew, 25:23).
We will continue tomorrow. I wish God’s abundant blessings!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Everything that is hidden will unavoidably be brought into the light

«For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil» (Ecclesiastes, 12:14). Solomon said the same thing Jesus said: God will bring into judgment our every work and especially all the hidden works: sins, wrongdoings that we have tried to keep in secret. God will openly bring our every deed into the light of His judgment. It means that all our sins will follow us wherever we go. The only way we can avoid the consequences of our sins and wrongdoings – is to repent before God brings them into the judgment. Repentance opens to us the door of mercy and grace from the Lord. It brings into our life new opportunities from the Lord. For this reason the only right lifestyle and the only correct decision is to repent of our wrongdoings so that God won’t have to judge us.
  • The changes must start with us

«When I was young my imagination did not know any boundaries. And I wanted to change the whole world. In time I realized that I wouldn’t be able to change the world, so I tried to change my country. When I realized that I wouldn’t be able to change the country, I concentrated on changing my city. But I couldn’t change my city either. So, when I had grown older, I tried to change my family. Now when I am an old man waiting to cross over to the other side I have understood that the only one I could change was me. Suddenly I realized that if I had worked on changing myself I would have been able to really affect my family and then my family and I could have affected the city. Through the changes in the city we could have changed the country and the world”.
  • The reward of faithful service in the Kingdom of God

One of the rewards of faithful service in the Kingdom of God is prosperity. The Bible says God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrew 11: 6). Jesus also said those who seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness will be rewarded with the necessities of life. Our God is a God who sees in the secret and who rewards us openly, so other can see it. God will never forget your work and the labour of love you showed towards His Name (Hebrew 6:10).
  • Analyze your work and your days!

If we don’t learn to stop like God did to analyze what we are doing and where we are going, then we might end up in a totally different place, not at the intended destination, and we might get something we did not plan to get. It is so easy to get distracted, to get involved into all kinds of entertainment and futile things; that is why we need to stop once in a while to check and analyze what is happening in our lives, whether it is good or bad, should it be changed or not, is the direction of our lives right and good.
  • Do You Hear What God Speaks? V

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 16:25)Our task is to train our spirit to hear what God is telling us. And even if your intellect is fighting and heart does not agree with what God says to you, anyway, say to God, “I do not know how it happens, I just believe in You!”
