What is our role and function as Christ’s ambassadors in this world

May grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied in your life! I believe that the word I am sharing with you here strengthens you and helps you continue your journey into eternal life.

Today I want to finish talking about what our role and function as Christ’s ambassadors in this world is. During several days we have been establishing that we are Christ’s ambassadors on earth and God seeks to reconcile the world with Himself. We also saw that we are the representatives of Heavenly Kingdom and are sent to ascertain God’s will and values. In order for us to be successful in our calling, we must understand that God’s nature and the life of Christ must reflect on us and through us. That is what gives strength to our witness as Christ’s ambassadors.

It says in the Bible:

«Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you, the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising» (Isaiah, 60:1-3).

This is a very strong passage of Scripture that also talks about our role on earth. God desires to save people and direct them into His Kingdom, and He does it through His children. God tells us that first we need to shine ourselves. He says that our light has already come, and we do not live as the people without the knowledge and understanding of God’s ways, His goals and the true life. When you and I will rise and start shining by declaring the knowledge of God and demonstrating His power, His ways, when we start demonstrating our submission to Him and His Word – and do it in any situation and circumstances, despite trials and difficulties, – then people will see our lives and will be able to see God’s glory upon us. The reflection of His glory will make a lot of difference for the people around us. We will be able to get through trials and tribulations due to the knowledge of God and our status in Him. The realization of the fact that we contain the nature of God and His light within us helps us to endure the difficulties with dignity. When the people will see it, they will begin listening to us and pay attention to our words, because they will see the glory of God shining through us. And when that happens, darkness will back off. This darkness is our problems and the lack of knowledge. This darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the people, but the Lord will shine upon us; His revelation, His Word, His ways will shine brightly in us. When we know God’s ways and walk in them, then God’s glory will be seen in us and the people will see this glory and will come to it.

«… the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising» (Isaiah, 60:3).

God desires us to realize our unique role and calling in this world. You and I are not saved just to avoid hell and go to heaven. You and I are saved to be the answer for the earth, to be God’s voice on earth. You and I are saved so that God would have an abode on earth. You and I are saved so that people could find God and get to know Him personally, know His will and His ways through us.

Be blessed! May God help us all in our calling and our walk!

  • What sin means?

When a person does not submit to God’s Word and despises His instructions, he or she sins. God has particular plan or will for every area of person’s life and it is spelled out in the Bible. But when you life according to your own wishes and do not pay attention to what God says about it, then tragedies are inevitable. For some time it may seem that you have outsmarted God, but this deceptive feeling won’t last long. These people sat in darkens and the shadow of death; they were bound in grief because they did not submit to God’s Word and despised His will.«Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their souls abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death» (Psalm, 107:17-18).
  • Lust brings sin, and sin brings death

«Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.» (James 1:13-17).
  • Everybody is dedicated to something the question is what or whom. What or whom are you dedicated to in your life?

Whom do you follow in your life? What is the engine of your life? What is your friendship with other people based upon? What makes you rejoice in your life? Is your dedication connected to eternal life and God´s will for your life?
  • The importance of favouring the Kingdom of God

The point is that favour can be sown not just in relation to other people, but also in relation to God and His work on the earth. Your attitude towards the work of the Kingdom will determine the level of Kingdom blessings operating in your life.«You will rise and have mercy of Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory» (Psalm 102:13-15).
  • Qualities that make us the salt of the earth and light of the world

    1) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Mathew, 5:3). This talks about dependency on God. Our lives depend on God. And since we realize our dependency, we must continually come to God and spend time with Him. This is a foundational step in becoming the salt of the earth and the light of the world; we must live a life that is totally depended on God!2) Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Mathew, 5:4). Sin, unrighteousness and injustice that surround us must motivate us to pray and mourn before God, to stand in the gap for our land. It must motivate us to repent of the sins and unrighteousness of our nation. When we look at the things around us with God’s eyes, then everything that grieves God will grieve us as well. This is where passion is born and a vision for change is conceived.
  • Only those who seek will find

You will find out what is there in you if you get diligent about seeking it out. Only those who seek will find. For example, many people only see problems. Don’t look for problems and don’t talk about them; focus on the solutions. Train your heart and your mind to find answers and solutions for different problems. As soon as you see a problem, start thinking about possible solutions for it. Start meditating on possible ways to solve it, and God will give multiple ideas for serving people.
