Walk in the light and do not give place to the devil! II

May grace and peace from God be multiplied unto you this day!We are still talking about the lordship of Jesus Christ. Yesterday we established that if we do not allow Jesus to be the Lord of our lives we give the devil an opportunity to accuse us and steal our confidence before God.
«Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel»(Zechariah, 3:1-3).
In this vision of Zechariah we see that Satan had come into the presence of the Angel of the LORD along with Joshua, the high priest who had come to intercede for the nation of Israel. The goal of Satan was to oppose this priest who was dressed in filthy clothes. But, praise God, in the same vision Zechariah also saw Jesus Christ. The Angel of the LORD that this verse speaks of is Jesus Christ, the Defender and Advocate of the covenant children. So, not only Satan, but also Jesus Christ stood before God. And if Satan was there to accuse the brethren, Jesus Christ was and is there as our Advocate, the One who justifies and defends us before the throne of God.It says in 1 John (2:1):
«My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.»
This verse shows us that Jesus Christ is our Intercessor before the Father. But God’s desire is that we would not sin, because when we do then the blood of Jesus Christ does not cover us. When we sin it is the sign of our rebellion against God and the lack of submission; when we sin, it shows that we are not letting His rule and reign have their place in our lives.Jesus Christ stands at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate. He died for us; He intercedes for us before God. The hands of Jesus that were nailed to the Cross and they have become the testimony of His death on our behalf. Jesus poured His blood for our justification.
«IF we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness» (1 John, 1:8-9).
The lordship of Jesus Christ is what helps us to walk free from the accusations of Satan; with it in our lives, the blood of Jesus Christ works on our behalf. Our accuser is not the only voice before God; our Advocate and Intercessor Jesus Christ is also there defending us. If you will listen to the accuser, you consider yourself dirty and you won’t have the confidence and boldness to come before God. But if you will listen to your Intercessor Jesus Christ, then you will walk in repentance and the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse you.It is so important to walk daily being submitted to the lordship of Jesus Christ. It does not only ensure the authority from God; it also provides the protection from enemy’s accusations.Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Your gift will make room for you

Today I would like to start talking about the topic I have titled as: “Your gift will make room for you”. The Word of God says: «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Your gift will make room for you and will broaden your boarders, if you won’t hide it. So many times believers ask: «Where is my place in the Body of Christ? What is my calling?»Do what you know. This simple principle gives an answer to many questions. Find the thing that you know how to do; find what you can do to promote the Kingdom of God, to help the church to grow and to extend your influence in the society.
  • God wants you to use everything He has given you for His Kingdom II

«But I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises, for God is my defence, my God of mercy» (Psalm 59:16-17).God is our strength! He is our defence! He is the One who shows mercy every day! Let’s lift Him up in the morning, afternoon and evening, for He is good!
  • Without the Holy Spirit we are not able to manifest God in our lives

    1) Jesus gave some commandments to the Apostles BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (verse 2).Jesus Himself relied on the Holy Spirit in everything He did during His days in flesh. When He took on flesh, He was limited by it and He needed the Holy Spirit. As people we live in flesh and we also are limited by it. The only way for us to overcome these limitations is to rely on the Holy Spirit. We must be aware of the necessity and our dependency on the Holy Spirit. We must seek Him daily.
  • Love is a weapon of victory of the last time!

“At the last days” – said Jesus – “the world will be full of hatred, sin, betrayal, resentment and bitterness.” Those who are not able to walk in love will experience serious problems at the last days – faced the power of sin they will not be able to fight it, get emotional injuries shortening their lives. Such people will end up with heart attack and nervous breakdown caused by the stream of evil, hatred, betrayal, rebellion and ingratitude over-flooding the world at the last days.
  • So a disciplined person is able to subject or control himself

A disciplined person is always in submission to certain set of rules and order. If you do not have any rules or regulations, if you avoid the word ‘order’, in your life, then you are undisciplined, and you won’t be able to experience any spiritual progress or growth.Spiritual growth which is related to positive changes in a person’s life is not a heritage meant for undisciplined people. If a person lacks discipline, he will always break and ignore rules and regulations. It does not matter how many sets of rules and regulations he impose on himself for noble purposes, an undisciplined man will break them all as soon as he made them.
  • What is our role and function as Christ’s ambassadors in this world

«Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you, the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising» (Isaiah, 60:1-3).
