How can we earn promotion?

Greetings to you, dear readers, on the pages of “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! I thank God for every one of you and for God’s mercy that is being poured out on us. Today we have a great privilege: we can freely speak and study the Word of God, drawing from God’s wisdom. It is the time of God’s favour. He desires His children to be filled with His truth because only the truth can make a person free and strong. Today I would like to start discussing how we can obtain promotion from God.Every one of us desires to see God in our lives – a strong and mighty God. It is important for us how God sees us and what He sees in our hearts. I was born to meet needs of other people.God is always good! He does not change. Your problems or illnesses cannot alter the mercy of God toward you. God is always good, and that is the God that we serve. Do not let the devil deceive you. Know that God is always good! He wants to promote us, but He is looking for a particular individual. He is searching for a person who deserves to be promoted.
«For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him» (2 Chronicles, 16:9).
God does not support and promote just anybody, because He cannot deviate from His own principles. Jesus did everything for us – He paid the price for our salvation. There is no need to earn salvation. Salvation is not our merit; it was paid by Jesus’ death on the Cross of Golgotha. But after receiving salvation, we need to perfect this salvation through obedience and walking in light.
«Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling» (Philippians, 2:12).
Apostle Paul tells us to work out the very same salvation, for which Jesus paid the full price. How can we earn promotion? Through obedience to God.All of us seek promotion. All of our prayers can be replaced with one word – promotion. If we do not have money, we ask God to bless us; if we are ill, we ask Him to heal us; if we do not have jobs, we ask God to open doors of new opportunities; if we have jobs, we ask God to bless us even more and to give us promotion. So, again and again we ask God to exalt and advance us.It is both good and right for us to pray about these things, but miracles do not come from praying alone; we need to be obedient to God. I do not diminish the role of prayer. I just want to point out that to be promoted by God we need to be obedient and walk in the light of His Word.We will continue with this tomorrow.Be blessed!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

    Today God wants to tell us the same thing. The Word of God is life to us. When God sends us His Word, He offers us life. Rejecting the Word of God we reject life itself. Moses says about God’s Word: «For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life…»It is extremely important for us to appreciate the Word of God and not to treat it as something futile, – it is not like a song that we have listened to and then gone to do our own will. God says that through the Word and through our right attitude towards it we can extend or prolong our days. Our attitude toward the Word determines whether we will extend our life or shorten it.

    May God bless you on your way to achieving your purpose in life! Please, don’t give in to obstacles, because there are ways to achieve your purpose. If you have gone one way, and nothing seems to work out for you, then try to find another way. If the second attempt failed also, try a third method. You will eventually reach your goal if you will not give up o the way.

    The phrase „Jesus is Lord!” is quite often used by the children of God. But being the children of God, we cannot treat this concept in a superficial or religious manner. The lordship of Jesus has a deep spiritual meaning. We should not casually proclaim or declare His lordship without the correct understanding of what it really implies. God wants us today to discover for ourselves what the true essence of the lordship of Jesus is and to act accordingly.

    To every person that does not know his calling yet, I advise to be obedient to God on daily basis. If you will be obedient to God in your daily walk, then you will learn your calling; you will hear God and understand what He is calling you to.Daily obedience to God will bring a person to full realization of his or her calling. The big picture or the global project consists of multitude of small detail. As the saying goes, «Every trip starts with the first step».Repentance is the first step. After you repent of your sins, Jesus becomes your Lord. What does that mean? The Lordship of Jesus implies doing of what He tells you.

    As we said before, a successful person is the one who knows what God wants him to do in his life and has dedicated his life for doing God’s will. Human success is not measured by his social status, banc accounts, and influence in society, popularity or fame in this world. True success is measured by how successful he has been in doing God’s will.Think about it today! God desires to give you true success that can be found in learning and doing God’s will for your life. You are the one who determines what to do with your life: either seeking temporary pleasure and enjoyment or seeking the eternal values of God’s Kingdom and His will for your life.
