Do You Hear What God Speaks? V

I greet you dear friends! I am glad that again I have a chance to share with you the precious pearls of wisdom from the Word of God.God said to Joshua,
“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8)
For several days we have been talking about the fact that every believer must learn to hear God’s voice, because only God knows the best solution and the answer to any question and problem. Yesterday we talked about the fact that God wants to take us along His roads that will often be incomprehensible in our minds.
Today, let us look at some of the episodes from the story of the people of Israel. The children of Israel cried, they cried to God for Him to free them from Egyptian bondage, and God heard them and led them out of Egypt.
“When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt armed for battle.” (Exodus 13:17-18)
We see that God led the people of Israel through the desert, and not through the Philistines land. At that time, there were two paths: one is led through the Philistines land, where they could buy something, spend the night, etc. But the other way – through the desert, where nothing grows, where there was no water, and therefore they had many problems and difficulties. And God led them specifically along this second path, for He saw that the people of Israel are not ready for war. Because the Israelites had been slaves in Egypt for a long time, they had slave-like thinking. God led them through the desert in order to reverse this thinking and to prepare them for that moment when they will enter the Promised Land. To be able to conquer the Promised Land, God wanted to teach His people to war. Therefore God tells us not to trust our own minds because He wants to take us in His ways, because only His ways lead us to life.
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 16:25)
Our task is to train our spirit to hear what God is telling us. And even if your intellect is fighting and heart does not agree with what God says to you, anyway, say to God, “I do not know how it happens, I just believe in You!”One day, Peter and his team of fishermen who were specialists were fishing all night, but they did not catch anything. And suddenly Jesus came and told them to throw the nets once more on the right side. It was the exact same place where they had worked all night. Peter did not start the quarrel and doubt, but did everything according to what Jesus had said. You know that it was quite a big catch. For example, if you want to settle in a particular job, and you have already a number of times sent them your CV and have even had a job interview, but you either do not receive any answer, or they refuse your application. To find out what you should do, you go to pray again, and God tells you to go back to the same employer. What will you do when you have heard it from God? Your common sense will tell you that this is madness, because no one will want to talk with you on this subject. Our mind tries to calculate, how things should happen according to regularity. But God knows better! Pray like this, “Lord, teach me to hear what You say. I do not want to listen to my voice of reason, I do not want to submit to my own feelings, I do not want to live according to what experts say, I want to live according to You Word! “Bibles teaches us to live according to every word that comes from the mouth of God. When we live according to His Word, God gives us life.
“Jesus answered, “It is written: ’Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”(Matthew 4:4)
May the Word of God and the voice of God become the main guides of your life!May God bless you!Until tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

«But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses» (1Timothy, 6:11-12).We say that these three things help us to lay hold on eternal life. We also established that eternal life has its beginning on earth when we get to know the only true God and His Son Jesus Christ.
  • Definitely write down the vision you receive from God II

«…Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.» (Habakkuk 2:2).Make notes of everything you believe in, everything that God speaks to your heart during prayer, fasting or Bible studies on the paper! For example, you may say: “I wish I could preach the word of God followed by miracles and wondrous things”, or “I wish I could bring relief to orphans by giving some of them a shelter in my house”, or ”I want to establish a school for those who would minister in the church”.
  • Worthy Goal for Life

Peace to you, my dear friends! I greet you on this wonderful day and pray for the Lord to help you in your walk and give you success in everything you will do today. Today I would like to start talking about „Worthy Goal for Life”.Every person has a goal, whether he talks about it or not. He is driven to do something. But if we talk about goals, it is important to determinewhether it is WORTHY or UNWORTHY.
  • Rejoice in the Lord!

The Bible says that «God loves a cheerful giver» (2 Corinthians, 9:7). So it says that God not only loves givers, but He delights in cheerful giving. It is so essential for us no only to serve God, but also to do it with joy.
  • Why do people choose to be irresponsible? IV

«Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honoured» (Proverbs, 13:18).When an individual does not accept correction and advice, then it makes it difficult to help him to become more responsible. As we have mentioned before, an irresponsible person always considers himself to be right; in his opinion he never errs and because of it he has a hard time accepting reprimand and correction. If a person has come to a point when nobody can speak into his life, then downfall of such a person is practically inevitable.
