Preparation is a key to effective life

Good day, dear friends!Thanks to God for this awesome day He granted us with! Thank Him for another opportunity to get filled with His living word! Today I wish to discuss with you a very important topic: “preparation is a key to effective life”. In reality, effective life is impossible without appropriate preparation. Jesus solved the question of effectiveness by preparing Himself for the ministry. There is almost no information about what Jesus had been doing during the first 30 years of His life. Gospels tell us the story about His ministry. Meanwhile, we need to understand that prior to starting His ministry Jesus had been seriously preparing himself for quite a long time. «The child was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.» (Luke 2:40). Jesus was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, developing certain skills and calling Himself to discipline. For example, He regularly communicated with the Father: «But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.» (Luke 5:15-16).Jesus often fasted. (see Luke 4:1-16) When people came to Jesus asking for healing, Jesus never rejected them saying He would need to fast for 7 days first and only then pray for their healing. Not like that, He always was in shape, always ready to serve people, because He kept preparing Himself for ministry. The Bible prompts us to be ready at all times: «But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear.» ( 1 Peter 3:15). «preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.» (2 Timothy 4:2). Influential people always work on themselves. God always prepares the vessel He is using. Are you letting Him to prepare yourself? Your future starts today as the following verses of Scripture say: «Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves; for tomorrow Yahweh will do wonders among you.» (Joshua 3:5).«Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments, and be ready against the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.» (Exodus 19:10-11).«Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.» (Matthew 6:34). If you take care for tomorrow, tomorrow will take care for itself. If you skip your preparation for tomorrow today, tomorrow will bring you only bitterness and failure. Today is important! What are doing with your life today? What are you doing with the word of God today? What are you doing with His call today? Commence your self-preparation today, so that your tomorrow can delight you! We will continue tomorrow!     “Put to death your body”- means letting the resurrected life that dwells in you spring its roots. By feeding our old sinful nature we strengthen it and as a result of this the sinful nature prevails the resurrected life inside us. In opposite, when thinking about things that are above ans seeking those things we enable ourselves to celebrate a victory over sin and the old nature.Quite often, when somebody hears that he has to put his body to death he says to himself: “I can´t do it!” This is the voice of your old nature. Though, let me share the good news with you – the Bible says, when Christ reveals Himself so will you in His glory, and your new life will be transformed into abundant life. If we have fellowship with God, seek things that are above and reason about Him, then Christ will definitely reveal Himself in our life.

  • We must prepare the way so that the Lord could come in glory and fullness! II

    Yesterday we started talking about God’s desire to demonstrate His glory and fullness in our lives; for this to happen we have to prepare our hearts and to prepare the way of the Lord. We have to cleanse our hearts from the things that God hates and cannot look upon.The following verses from the Scripture reveal the principle of preparation the way of the Lord.«In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight.’”» (Mathew, 3:1-3).

  • Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have! II

    God gives to us gifts according to our ability, so He does not call us to do the thigs we are not able to. If God has asked you to do something, it is only because He knows you are able to do it. He won’t give you more than you are able to bear. Simply use what you have.I once read a story about a woman who built a school for the needy. Before she began this, a desire was born in her heart to do it. It became her dream that she was thinking of consistently. At that moment she did not have a thing: no textbooks, no teachers, no building, and no money. But she did have a tremendous desire to fulfil her dream.

  • Transformed person is a person with the right and pure motives

    Transformed person serves other people because he loves them, not in order to benefit from them. It makes me sad when I meet people who minister because it gives them a certain benefits. It´s awfully hard to change a person who has such motives. Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus was one of this kind. For three and a half years he had stayed with Jesus, but in no way it changed him, because he had sinister motives. Judas Iscariot was greedy, money loving man. Jesus put Judas in charge with financial part of His ministry, so he had access to money and offerings. First Judas began to steal money from their pay-box, later also betrayed his Master.

  • The steps God takes in disciplining us II

    If we listen to the conviction of the Holy Spirit that is communicated through the people God sends to us to correct us and repent of our sins, then He stops all the judgments. But, if we continue in our stubbornness and resist Him, God allows more trouble in our lives in order to show us that there are spiritual problems in us that we need to resolve. If after that we still resist Him and refuse to humble ourselves before Him, then He increases penalties. God does that because He loves us and does not want any of His children to perish.
