God calls each of us to do good works in Jesus Name II

Greetings to you, dear friends!Praise God for this wonderful day God has given us! Thank God for one more opportunity to be filled with His Word!Yesterday we talked about God making us rich with all kinds of grace, so that we have all provision and would be able to do any good work we have in our hearts. We found out that God, first, calls every one of us to do good deeds for Jesus. Second, God calls every one of us to good deeds according to our ability; the Gospel of Mark (14:3-10) talks about a woman who, as Jesus said, „has done what she could”. Third, the only way to leave a memorial for oneself in God’s Kingdom and on earth is to fulfil one’s calling and to do good works.I think that after so many confirmations from the Bible none of us can have any doubts about the fact that we are created and called for good works. Jesus came to earth to model our mission for us. He came to show us how we can practically do good works and then He died for us to give us grace and power to do these good works supernaturally.When we learn what kind of good works Jesus did it helps us to know what our calling is. Because we are called to do His works! That is why Jesus said, 
«Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father» (John, 14:12).
 So, we are His work, created in Christ Jesus for good works. How do we learn about the good works we can do in Christ? That is what we are going to talk about today – about our calling in God. 
 «For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them» (Ephesians, 2:10).
 The underlined part of this verse tells us that God has a plan that we should carry out. One of the main tasks in this life is for us to find out this plan. After his salvation Apostle Paul set his heart on finding out his purpose in life. 
«As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” So he, trembling and astonished, said, „Lord, what do You want me to do?”» (Acts, 9:3-6).
 After this encounter with Jesus Paul’s first question was: «Lord, what do You want me to do?» Paul wanted to understand what Jesus wants him to do. Paul was intent on doing everything Jesus ordered him. Answering his question Jesus gave Paul instructions for the nearest future and led him into the very centre of God’s calling.At the end of his life Paul was able to say that he had fought the good fight and finished his race. 
«For I am already poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing» (2 Timothy, 4:6-8).
 Paul sought for the will of God in everything he did; he gave his life for doing God’s will that was revealed to him. Paul did not fight the will of God; quite the opposite, he submitted to it. This is what he wrote about his attitude towards the heavenly vision, 
 “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision” (Acts, 26:19).
 Today many people are unhappy because they either have not received the heavenly vision of their lives or they are disobedient to it, or they do not have an understanding of how to fulfil this vision.     “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls” (James, 1:21).For the Word of God to be implanted in you, you must ‘lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness’. If you are mad at everybody then you won’t be able to hear and comprehend the Word; you will read it, but it won’t work in your life. The process of engrafting requires a special treatment, protection in order to preserve the tree from infection. The same can be said about a human heart, – it must be protected from wickedness so that the Word of God could be planted and then bring forth fruit – the fruit of salvation.

  • Faith without love is not biblical faith!

    If you have faith, but do not have love, then, according to Paul, you are “sounding brass and a clanging cymbal” and you are “nothing”. Faith without love does not work. That is why it is so important to learn to walk in love. Otherwise our hearts won’t be able to go through the last day attacks. Faith will not work without love!What are you going to do when people will hate, persecute and hurt you? Will you get offended and look for the ways to pay them back and do evil? That is the reaction of flesh; that is the reaction of a natural man.

  • The more we collaborate with God, the more prophecies we will see fulfilled

    What does it mean to be stirred? When such things happen due to the changes taking place in people and through people the latter can´t remain indifferent to God any more. Nowadays people live wrapped in their problems, immersed in their own world, as though there is no God at all. They use some duty phrases in their speech like “For God´s sake”, “Thanks God”, but there is no God in their hearts at all. It happens to them just because they have never experienced the real God in their lives. God is a care taking father. Such people have not felt how real the God is, how powerful and Almighty Creator He is.

He wants us to establish His principles in every sphere of life and win people for Him by the ministry we do on earth.
