Being a Christian is a responsibility

Dear brothers and sisters! Today I want to challenge each of you to become more responsible. Not only the world or the church needs responsible people, but also God. Being a Christian is a responsibility. God lifts up and raises exactly those who agree to become responsible. Jesus speaks about this in the following passage:
«For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.»(Мatth.25:29-30)
Irresponsible people lose their positions and everything that they own, whereas responsible people multiply their influence and grace. If you want to experience a rise from God this year, then make a decision to become responsible in all the spheres of your life. By the way, church membership is a responsibility too. Every member of a church has a duty to get acquainted with the aims and tasks of the church, let them pass through their hearts, let them overwhelm them, and bind the aim of their life with these godly aims in order to honour God with their life every day. God has promised to honour those who honour Him.
«Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed..» (1 Sam. 2:30)

«If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.» (John 12:26)
Behold, therefore, I can surely assert that everyone who takes upon themselves responsibility and honours God with their lives is already walking the road to be raised by God. I wish you accomplishments and success on this road. Until we meet again! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • The forms of accountability in the life of a Christian

    (1) Teacher – apprentice. We see examples of this type of relationship in Moses and Joshua, Elijah and Elisha, Paul and Timothy. This form of accountability implies having a disciple or apprentice that you invest yourself into helping him to grow in God. This type of relationship means that a teacher is responsible for his disciple and the disciple submits to his teacher. It helps both teachers and disciples to grow in Jesus Christ and walk in submission to the Lord.

  • Confession of our sins before God

God cleanses and heals us from inside out. And one of the most important elements leading to the inner healing is confession of our sins before God and forgiving of other people’s transgressions. «And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors» (Mathew, 6:12).When we come to God in prayer, we must confess our sins and ask Him to heal us. Such a prayer brings healing and deep inner cleansing.

It says in the Bible: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path» (Psalm, 119:105). It is God’s Word that starts the light of God in our hearts and leads our steps on the right path: «You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness» (Psalm, 18:28).
  • What are you doing with your talent? III

«Set your mind on things above» (Colossians, 3:2).But you cannot mentally switch and start thinking about the things above, because it is a process. It depends on your lifestyle. So Jesus tells us to invest ourselves and our treasures into the Kingdom of God, because where your treasures are, your heart will be also. If you continuously think on how you can build God’s Kingdom, – investing your finances, time, strength and effort into it, – then your heart will also be there. It is a law: your heart will be where your treasures are.
