The Christian as an ambassador II

Welcome to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ! We have been talking about the children of God being God’s ambassadors on the earth:
« That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God » (2 Corinthians, 5:19-20).
After Jesus left the earth and ascended to heaven, He commissioned us to be His ambassadors or the sent ones (His representatives) on the earth. So we must understand and receive a profound revelation concerning the spiritual authority and power that we have in Christ. The Bible says that Christ made us kings and priests in order that we can reign on earth for Him. It is God, our heavenly Father desires that we all to be busy about His business. His business is to reconcile people with Him. God desires to do the work of reconciliation through us – «we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God». He wants us to declare the word of reconciliation.
« God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation » (2 Corinthians, 5:19).
By declaring the word of reconciliation we can destroy the works of the devil in our society; we can open the people’s eyes and bring freedom from the power and authority of the devil. By declaring the word of reconciliation we can help people become the children of God and enter the inheritance God has given to all His saints. We read in the Bible that God gave this type of mission and assignment to Apostle Paul:
«But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me» (Acts, 26:16-18).
The same mission and assignment is given to us as Christ ambassador God desires is that we break the power of Satan which darkens and controls the minds of people. Through His children God wants to destroy all of the devil’s agendas, he wants to undo any manifestations of evil and unrighteousness on earth in order for people to get free from devil’s shackles. We must understand that the devil works through people making them the carriers of evil and injustice. God wants His children to be the instruments of righteousness in His hands, carriers of the goodness and the values of God’s Kingdom; He wants us to reflect God’s qualities. If we will get busy with God’s business as His ambassadors and sow God’s Word into the hearts of people, helping them to turn to God, we will empty out the kingdom of darkness. And then people will begin spreading God’s righteousness instead of depravity, evil and injustice.
«Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are the one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness» (Romans, 6:16-18).
Through the ministry of God’s ambassadors on the earth, God’s righteousness begins to flourish. And because of that God blesses and exalts our nations and evil will be eradicated from our lands. Righteousness exalts a nation! In order for earth to be filled with the righteousness of God, Christ ambassadors must understand who they are in Christ and go forth fulfilling their mission. Till tomorrow! Be blessed! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

«“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.». (Matthew 5:43-45).If only all people lived according to the commandments of love there would be much less pain and tragedies on Earth. There would be much less tears on Earth if people took care for each other instead of seeking their own benefits.
  • There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants

For several days we have been discussing the blessedness of ministry. We established that through ministry we become entitled for continuous flow of God’s mercy. Ministry to others always fills our lives with blessings. But we shouldn’t be motivated by the desire to get God’s blessings; our motive is love for God and people which God sends into your life. There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants. What type of a believer are you? What are you: an observer, a user or a servant? Today we will attempt to establish what distinguishes observers and consumers from servants.
  • It is extremely important for us to grow in God’s character and nature so that we can effectively function on earth

«It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by righteousness» .In order for a throne or a reign or government to be established, it must be done by righteousness or truth. As we’ve said before, in Paul’s Epistle to Romans we are told that we rule on earth by the gift of righteousness (see Rom.5: 17).The Power, authority and wisdom to rule on earth come into our lives through our uncompromising stance against sin and unrighteousness. If we choose righteousness and total submission to God and His commandments as our lifestyle, then God can channel His authority into our lives; our life will be filled with God’s authority, and God will grant us the right to rule and reign on earth.
  • Do not bury your miracle!

Today I want to encourage you not to burry your dream, even when everything around you tells you that it won’t ever come true. There is such a thing as the power of resurrection. That is the word I want to bring to you.We started to talk about a woman whose hospitality and generosity brought a miracle into her life, and as a result she gave birth to a son.
  • Prayer is our spiritual breathing

Ask God for grace to arrange your life for effective praying. Be honest with yourself today. Is your prayer life effective, or it has turned into fruitless routine? Maybe your really do not have any prayer relationships with God? You alone can answer these questions. We often talk of prayer; we hear of prayer. It makes us think that we know what prayer is. But do we practise praying? We know that prayer is necessary for our spiritual life, just like air is necessary for our physical life. We must be enough diligent and disciplined to pray.
  • Life without prayer is a road to nowhere II

    1. Set apart some time for prayer and commit to it.2. Plan where you will pray.It does not have to be at home, but you also do not need to turn prayer into some religious ritual. Be creative when you choose the place for prayer. For instance, there was a time in my life when I made walking into prayer time. I called it “a prayer walk”. I went out in the street for the purpose of prayer.
