All true ministry begins in the presence of God II

Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus! Today I want to continue our talk on starting ministry in the presence of God. Yesterday we saw the example of Lord Jesus Christ Himself, but today we are going to see the example of prophet Isaiah. The classic example of prophet Isaiah is another strong illustration that shows us how effective ministry must begin in the presence of God. The prophet went into the temple to worship. In other words, he drew near to God and entered into the presence of God. As soon as he did, a few things happened that I would like us to look into diligently: The first thing that happened is that Isaiah saw the glory of God and heard the Cherubim declaring through song how the whole earth is filled with the Glory of God;
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory” (Isaiah 6: 1-3).
Even though in the natural, things looked terribly different, Isaiah was able to see God’s perspective. One of the reasons ministry needs to start in the presence of God is this: As you draw near to God, you will be enabled to walk by faith instead of just walking by sight.We are instructed to live like that in 2 Corinthians 5:7
“We live by faith, not by sight”
How is that possible? We receive the power to do that as we regularly spend time in the presence of God. We will look at what people call problems, but instead of seeing what they are seeing, we will see possibilities. When you spend time with God, He allows you to see things from a glorious perspective instead of a disastrous perspective.Spend some time in God’s presence today and allow Him to show you His own perspective about that problem you have been battling recently.     Are you so busy about ministry that you are forgetting to spend time with the master? How will you know if you are pleasing Him or not, if you do not take some time to listen to His evaluation of what you are doing? It is so important to cultivate a sensitive heart that can easily discern God’s desire. This kind of heart can be cultivated as we understand that all ministries should begin in the presence of God.

    Friends, no matter how badly people or life itself has treated you, if you want to move ahead in life you have to learn how to focus on the right thing and chose the right life position. If despite all the odds of life you can still focus on using your gifts and talents; if you can still continue to serve people, then you will soon be able to change your status. That was exactly what happened to Joseph. As he served these two officers of pharaoh instead of concentrating on the offences of others, the door to his throne opened to him easily. Pharaoh sent for Joseph and fetched him out of the prison.

We will examine the example of David and allow him to teach us today how to react in difficult situation.“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. 2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
