Faith is obedience to the Lord!

Every reader be greeted at this wonderful day created by God! God give you the spirit of wisdom and the revelation of His word, that lives and works today!Few days we have been discussing the ways of how to experience God´s power and mercy in your life. We discovered that love to God and close relationships with Him help you to get to know His heart and His will towards your life while making your heart sensitive to His Spirit. Once our heart is sensitive to the Holy Spirit we are certain about what to do and how to act in order to glorify God through us.Today I would like to touch the topic of faith and trust, without these two it becomes impossible to experience God´s power and mercy. People who experienced God were people of faith. Faith exposes God´s capabilities to us and release the God´s power to flow through us in different situations of our life. The Bible tells us about Abraham as a father of faith. What was Abraham´s secret? The answer is pretty simple. The secret of his faith was hidden in his obedience to God. If somebody asked me to provide a definition of faith, the first thing I would say then is: “Faith is obedience to the Lord!” If we trust God and His wisdom, we will obey Him.« By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went. By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents, with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise. For he looked for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son; even he to whom it was said, “In Isaac will your seed be called;” accounting that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead. » (Hebrews 11:8-10,17-19).Look at the following episodes of Abraham´s life.
    • When God ordered Abraham to leave his land and property, he immediately did so.
    • When God ordered Abraham to circumcise all mails in his house, he didn´t hesitate to follow His order.
    • When God urged Abraham to give his tithe to Him, Abraham fulfilled God´s command.
    • When God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, he again obeyed.
Are you willing to experience God and His power in your life? If so, trust God and express it via your obedience to Him. The Bible says that without faith you can´t please the Lord. If you don´t please God you cannot experience His presence nor power neither. When God reveals you something He is going to accomplish, you have to follow his invitation without hesitation. It proves your devotion and your desire to listen to His voice. Meanwhile, disobedience turns your heart to stone and shuts our ears to God´s voice. Faith is acting in accordance to the word of God. Quite often God calls us to do impossible things, those only God Himself can accomplish. At such moment we may face the crisis of our faith. Though, we have to understand that God wants to reveal Himself to the world through us. He is not inviting us to demonstrate our own capabilities, but what God is able to do through us. That´s why God often gives us the tasks we cannot accomplish without Him.When God requires us to accomplish something that is above our capabilities, we are prompted to clarify what our belief in God is. Is He able to get our task done? Is He going to do it for us? What does He want to achieve through us?Your response to His invitation determines whether you really believe in Him or not, regardless of your denomination. Faith is also connected to certain acts and deeds not just by belonging to a denomination.Let´s continue tomorrow!Be abundantly blessed in the Lord!

One of the ways we make ourselves qualified is to learn to listen to people, listen to their hearts and feelings; only then we can really help them.Besides, we must be ready to show the problem from a different perspective. It is not satisfactory to point out person’s problem or his or her mistakes; we must be able to highlight how his or her present lifestyle or approach to life has caused the problem.Today I would like us to look at another passage of Scripture.
  • Do not be afraid to work; do not be afraid to sacrifice your time to the Lord!

«But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money» (Mathew, 25:18).This person received some money from his master and he hid it. Please, notice these words ‘money from his master’. He knew that what he had received did not belong to him; it belonged to his master. And he made a conscious decision to hide the treasure his master had given him.
  • There is nothing impossible with God!

Every one of us has been given free choice. By our lawlessness and sins we can fill our lives and the lives of our loved ones, thus defiling the earth. But through repentance and godly living we can establish the rule of life by God’s grace, affecting not just our life but the whole world. We see that the sin of one man negatively affects not only him or her, but also others. In the same way we see that obedience and righteous living positively affects other people and the whole world.
  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
