God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children!

Peace to you, dear children of God! Thank God for the day God has given us! Thank God for the opportunity to abide in His Word, to fellowship with Him through prayer and to draw power, strength and wisdom from it!Yesterday we talked about how God supernaturally delivered Peter from prison.
“And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people” (Acts, 12:11).
Everything that devil has bound up in your life – your miracle, your promises, – can be released to you by the supernatural power of God. But for it to happen, prayer must become your number 1 priority.Take any Bible story and you will see what powerful prayer of believers is able to accomplish. For example, what did Daniel do when he was thrown into lions’ den? Did he pray? No, it was too late to pray. He had been praying long before he got to this point in his life. It is too late to pray when you are in a den with some lions. You must pray before anything like that happens! Daniel prayed three times a day every day.
“..he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days”(Daniel, 6:10).
Since Daniel did not agree to worship anyone else but God, he was thrown into lions’ den. If he hadn’t prayed before, what would have happened to him? Remember, I told you that if you do not practise prayer when you don’t really need special miracle from God and His intervention, then you won’t be able to pray when you do need it. But praise God for Daniel! He practised prayer on a daily basis. Prayer was his lifestyle.Remember the time when the nation of Israel was wandering in the wilderness? Every day God gave them manna from heaven. We can read about it in Exodus 16. They had to get out of their homes and collect manna every day and it had to be done by noon. If anyone did not do it, he ended up without his daily provision. It was impossible to collect manna for today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow all in one day. Everything they could not eat in one day got spoiled. They had to meet with God daily so that their daily provision would stay fresh. Their daily bread was given to them on a daily basis. This principle shows us that our daily fellowship with God gives us our daily provision. God expects us to come to Him daily! He waits to meet with us!It says in Deuteronomy (8:3):
“…man shall no live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD”.
God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children. He desires His children to meet with Him daily. May God help us do it! If He calls us to do something, it means there is a blessing for us in it. This is God’s word for us today! I really want this word to be embedded in the life of every member of our church and every believer on this earth. And only then we will enjoy the results we have been hoping to achieve for a long time.Let’s sum up what we have been talking about:
  • Prayer brings movement into our lives.
  • Through prayer we are filled with the Holy Spirit.
  • Through prayer we are filled with confidence and boldness.
  • Prayer brings unity.
  • Through prayer we receive wisdom in order to manage the resources God has given us.
  • Through prayer we are filled with God’s power and grace.
  • Through prayer we become attractive for those around us.
May God help us to make prayer a priority in our lives!Wishing you abundant God’s blessings,Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Jesus as the example of a true minister

We see that Jesus experienced serious difficulties in the days of His earthly life, but He did not focus on them. Jesus was busy serving the Father and those He was sent to serve. While Jesus served people, the Father made sure people ministered to Jesus; God met Jesus’ needs through His ministry. When we serve others, God motivates others to serve us. We always reap what we have sown. We do not serve people because we do not have any problems, – we serve people because it pleases God. And when we serve, despite the fact that we have problems, needs and concerns, God makes sure some people that we do not even know serve us by meeting our needs
  • I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me!

According to the word of God we are already granted everything we need in order to succeed in this life. God has already given us all that we need to have life abundantly. There is no such need in our life God has not taken care for yet. We only have to get to know God and His precious promises, so that we can prevail the lust of this world and fulfil our call from God.«Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue; by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.». • Why we need the favour?

«We have heard with our ears, O God, our father have told us, the deeds You did in their days, in days of old: You drove out the nations with Your hand, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favoured them» (Psalm 44:1-3).
  • You won’t have a ministry if you don’t start using what you have now

The topic of our devotion today is “Your gift will make room for you”.We have been talking about how all big things start small, whether it is a known person, great ministry, great accomplishments or great influence. It all starts when a person does what he can do and does it with all his might as unto the Lord with faith and consistency. When one has such attitude towards life he will have his or her reward from the Lord. Such a person will be blessed and exalted by God. His or her gift will make room for him or her in God’s overall picture and the Body of Christ.Person’s gift will make room for him and will bring him before great men, – this is on of the Bible principles; the Bible teaches about it and also it can be seen in the lives of the people in the Bible.
  • Purpose for living V

After Solomon forsook God for a season, he tried to find happiness and satisfaction in different things and activities. We see that Solomon made several attempts which all lead to disappointment. For a wise person Solomon’s experience can become good lesson in what the wrong ways to happiness are. We mentioned that Solomon sought happiness in education and knowledge, in fun and pleasures, in beauty, in works of men’s hands. Afterwards he came to a conclusion that despite the fact that all these things are important and necessary for living, none of them can make us happy, if God is excluded from our life. Solomon said that everything under the sun is vanity and grasping for the wind. Solomon’s conclusion was that everything that happens under the sun is vanity and grasping for the wind – if apart from God.
