If we want our talents to multiply, we must have a dream!

Greetings and blessings to you all on this wonderful day given to us by God!Everyone of us who love God and is born of His Spirit is considered to be a child of God’s Kingdom. We all have talents that God has given to us. And God wants us to multiply our talents and to use them to expand His Kingdom. If we want our talents to multiply, we must have a dream. We all follow up our dream. It is built within us to pursue our dreams and do all we can to fulfill them. When we dream we awaken a desire within us that leads us to have the drive, passion and ambition to accomplish our dream. That is why people with dreams deploy everything within their reach to accomplish their dream. Godly ambition prompts a person to change. This is what Paul meant in his letter to the Philippians 3: 12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
There is this brother in our church who wanted to have a licence for driving any vehicle. This dream and desire made him to ask himself a a practical question, which is “what should I do to achieve this?” He understood that to get his driving licence he would have to go to driving school, practice and learn all the information he needed to pass his test. So he did,and he put in all efforts to achieve this dream. Now he has his driving licence and can drive any vehicle. If you have a dream, it will change you and force you to ask yourself a question: “What shall I change in my character or lifestyle to accomplish this dream?”Do you have a dream? Maybe you have a dream to have a big house, well-paid job, travel around the world and live comfortable life. Is this a bad dream? Not necessarily. I would never say that the desire to live a comfortable life is a bad thing. If you want to have the biggest house in Latvia, well that is fine, we will be glad and celebrate you, but the question is- what are your motives for that? If this house is used for the purpose of serving God-then go ahead and build one in Lithuania or any other country. Are you dreaming of something? A dream can discipline and motivate us. where there is a dream, there you also have hope, and even if you will lose everything, you will survive with a dream in your heart. But if a persons dream dies, then his hope and life person dies with it.One of my favourite characters in Bible is Joseph. He was like Jesus. You would not find anything bad said about Joseph. For example, you can read that Abraham lied but there is nothing negative about Joseph. Joseph loved the truth and revealed others who were fraudulent; that’s why some people did not like him. There were hardships in Joseph’s life but his dream stayed with him all the time, he remained faithful and of good character. God blessed him and he was elevated in life.We must dream! Through our dreams we can expand our talents.Never stop dreaming! Dream, but do not stay on the level of ‘just dreaming’. Let your dream move you to make the necessary changes and adjustments you need to achieve great goals to the glory of God.May God bless you abundantly.Pastor Rufus

Today we will look at some more areas of Solomon’s life where he tried to find happiness and satisfaction. Many people try to do that. Let’s look at the Scripture.«Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind. Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me»(Ecclesiastes, 2:16-17).
  • Definitely write down the vision you receive from God II

«…Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.» (Habakkuk 2:2).Make notes of everything you believe in, everything that God speaks to your heart during prayer, fasting or Bible studies on the paper! For example, you may say: “I wish I could preach the word of God followed by miracles and wondrous things”, or “I wish I could bring relief to orphans by giving some of them a shelter in my house”, or ”I want to establish a school for those who would minister in the church”.
  • I desire mercy and not sacrifice

«As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, „Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him. Now it happened as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, „Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard that, He said to them, „Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance» (Mathew, 9:9-13).
  • The life of Jesus was described to us so that we learn from Him to take His yoke and His burden

According to the Bible, God´s highest goal for us is make us in likeness of Christ. He wants us to be like Jesus. Though, it doesn´t happen in at blink of an eye, it´s rather a process that develops as we allow the God´s word and other God´s means on to influence us. Spending your time with Jesus by reading the word of God and praying, fellowship with other christians, decently overcoming difficulties and pain – all these things help you to transform more and more, just as it happened to Jesus disciples.
  • How we gain or receive the Fear of God in our life?

First, we must choose with our will to have the fear of God above all else. Proverbs 1:29 says, “Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord…” God will not give this fear to us unless we want it. We must see this as something we choose above all else because we desperately need it.
  • Only those who seek will find

You will find out what is there in you if you get diligent about seeking it out. Only those who seek will find. For example, many people only see problems. Don’t look for problems and don’t talk about them; focus on the solutions. Train your heart and your mind to find answers and solutions for different problems. As soon as you see a problem, start thinking about possible solutions for it. Start meditating on possible ways to solve it, and God will give multiple ideas for serving people.
