We are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God

Mercy and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you! Welcome to our column “Daily word for spiritual strength”!We concluded that we are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God. If we refuse to collaborate with God, He will not be able to act or fulfil His plan in our cities and our countries. We stopped at what do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? To make it happen we must become obedient disciples of Jesus Christ. God uses this kind of people to fulfil His prophesies and restore His will on Earth. Obedient disciple is one who moves and works for God, not sitting and doing nothing, so God can move through such person.«Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.» (Matthew 28:19-20).

Many people call this verse of Scripture as the Great message from the Lord.

*The word go is a key word in this message – “go and spread…”. If you do not go, you are a passive disciple.* God puts His hope on each of us, so that we go not in the name of our pride or just looking for a solution for our problems, but in the Name of the Lord.* God will take care for your problems if you take care for His problems and needs. In order to go somewhere one has to know where to go. Exact direction is not always visible from the very beginning, sometimes it´s not even necessary to know it.* Abraham started off his way without any clue about where he was going, but he obeyed God.«By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.» (Hebrews 11:8)* Going means leaving your current location. You may not know where you have to go while being sure that you can´t stay in your current situation any longer. You do understand that you need changes.* Praise the Lord for the obedient disciples. They are not sitting but going forward. Obedient disciples not only listen to the Word, they also act according to the Word. They accept the God´s word and act to fulfil this word, so they get into the centre of God´s will.* Obedience to call begins with obedience to short instructions God gives to us through His word and our leaders in Christ. God says we have to submit to our leaders in Christ because they are taking care for our souls. «Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.» (Hebrews 13:17). Make the decision to obey the Lord in everything and follow Him wherever He leads you to. Trust God and He will do a great job in your life and through you. Meet you tomorrow! God bless you abundantly! Rufus Adjiboye, pastor

  • How to develop a habit of prayer in our life? II

Prayer is relationships of love between a man and The God as we determined it earlier. It´s nothing else but the love of God, that prompts people to pray and spend time with Him.A desire to know Him and His will in our life is a kind of food to keep our life in prayer alive. The only way to know His will is to come to see Him and ask Him about it. This desire keeps our life in prayer alive. We have to have such desire to be able to pray continuously.
  • What do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities?

Jesus didn´t come into this world to die on the cross so that people become religious and indifferent to God. Contrariwise, Jesus came to fill the Earth with His glory just like rivers fill the seas. Jesus set an example of what we have to do. Wherever Jesus showed up He stirred the place! Everywhere He showed up people responded to His visit both positively and negatively. Some of them said: “Watch the Messiah, He is the answer, He is the son of God!” while the others stated: “He is obsessed by demons, He is a sinner, blasphemer, He is dangerous, so He must die”.
  • The law of harvest and multiplication

As a base we will use a passage from Mark chapter 4, where Jesus Himself was speaking in parables. In this chapter there are three parables, through which Jesus explains the power and the potential hidden in a small seed. First I would like to simply recount these parables, but later we will look at each of them in more detail. The first parable that Jesus talked about is the parable of the sower. This parable shows that there is a whole list of obstacles that make it difficult for seeds to grow and bear fruit. In this parable, Jesus went ahead to show us three types of obstacles which can impede the growth of the seeds that we sow. (Mark 4:3-20)
  • The example of accountability in the life of apostle Paul II

Leaving for his mission Paul didn´t make himself unaccountable just because he had already been anointed and free. At that moment Paul had become a mature minister established many churches. Nevertheless, he was still an accountable person. He returned to the church at Antioch, to the place he had been sent from, to meet those whom God had been made an authority over Paul. Moreover, Paul also held an account before the apostles in Jerusalem regarding the way his ministry was going.«Then after a period of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me. I went up by revelation, and I laid before them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain». (Galatians 2:1-2).
  • Searching for the meaning of life III

We have been talking about search for the meaning of life. We are using the life of Solomon, the son of David as our example. Solomon was the wisest person on earth. We saw that in the beginning of his life Solomon obtained wisdom and riches, because he loved God and knew Him. But there came a time in his life, when he forsook God and followed other gods. At that time Solomon tried to satisfy his soul with different things; he looked for happiness in different places. Eventually, Solomon realized that it is impossible to be happy and satisfied in this life without God.
