When we pray, invisible chains that bind people suddenly fall off! II

Good morning, dear friends! It is a great joy to welcome you to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! God desires to show Himself strong in our lives and to pour His favour on us! As we have already established, it is impossible to experience God’s presence without prayer.God is calling His people to pray. When we pray, peace fills our hearts despite the circumstances around us. When we pray, God intervenes in our lives. When we pray, God sends us His angels to assist us and minister to us.You may ask why people act the way they act? Why don’t people sometimes understand very elementary things? Why do people hear the truth, but do not change? There are invisible things that keep people in bondage. There are strongholds that cannot be destroyed by teaching, sermons, instructions and lectures. They are spiritual things. What happens when the church prays? These strongholds collapse and some real changes take place. We cannot afford not to pray and try to admonish other people; usually people listen to us, say that they understand, but do the same thing all over again. It is humanly impossible to change someone; only God is able to do it. It also applies to raising children. You tell them something, they promise to behave, but nothing really changes. And you think, „How can I explain this to you?” I will tell you what you should do: you should pray, and your prayers will destroy all bondage and spiritual strongholds.Yesterday we talked about the situation in Peter’s life: he was put in prison because of the Gospel. When the church found out about it, they started to fervently pray. After that an angel of the Lord came to Peter and delivered him from the bondage.
“Now behold, an angel of the LORD stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands” (Acts, 12:7).
What happened next?
“Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard post, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people” (Acts, 12:8-11).
They left, the gates opened on its own, and Peter was free. The gate opened! What does it tell us? Gate is a symbol of all different types of hindrances. For example, if you are running from danger, but the gate is closed, you are trapped. Gate is symbolic of obstacles that keep you from escaping from danger. Also the gate may hinder you from getting to where you need to be. You are moving towards your goal where God’s miracle awaits for you, but a gate appears before you; it is an obstacle that keeps you from reaching your goal and receiving your miracle. You want to get there but the gate is closed. You cannot get in; you cannot get out; the gate is locked. So, what happens when we pray? The gate opens up! Obstacles are destroyed!God has left you with the most powerful weapon that is able to destroy all strongholds and barriers in your life, – it is prayer. Pray! Always pray! You will witness God supernaturally intervening into your life.May God abundantly bless you this day!Till tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God

Faith, – biblical faith is cooperation with God in all sense. God will not do everything for you. He will not do for you, what you are unwilling to do yourself.Don’t just fold your arm in passivity expecting God to put bread in your mouth. The proof that you have faith in God is to carry out the instruction you already know. That is the essence of praying and reading the Bible, – to discern His will and understand His mind concerning a given situation and then act on what you know God is calling you to do.
  • On what does your destiny depend?

We mostly think that our destiny is determined by other people or how they act toward us. Or we think that destiny depends on the circumstances that surround us or things that happen around us. But it is not true, and God does not think that way! God knows that the circumstances in your life won’t define your life. What people do or do not do to you cannot determine your life. Your destiny is defined by where your heart is. Thus, God tells us that we have to guard our hearts with all diligence.
  • God calls each of us to do good works in Jesus Name

To do good work means doing what you can do. God never asks you to do something above your abilities. When God asks you to do something, He definitely gives you a supernatural power and capabilities. Do not think of what you cannot accomplish, better do what you can manage then God will lead you into your promised land. Wherever you are, use every opportunity to do what you can do, so you learn doing good works for Jesus then.
  • One of the instruments of daily victory is praise and worship

My question to you today is this: Are you experiencing the victory of praise in your life. Have considered the power and privileges available to you through praise? Let me show you few of these privileges from the word of God.Praise is an instrument of warfare (2 Chronicle 20)
  • Confession of our sins before God

God cleanses and heals us from inside out. And one of the most important elements leading to the inner healing is confession of our sins before God and forgiving of other people’s transgressions. «And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors» (Mathew, 6:12).When we come to God in prayer, we must confess our sins and ask Him to heal us. Such a prayer brings healing and deep inner cleansing.
  • Only God can tell us the way we can please Him through our ministry

Can we serve God on His conditions, instead of ours? does our service to God cost us something? Whether we give to God the rests of our time which and so is not present, or we give to It from the rudiments? Do we give to God the left over of times or do we commit the first fruit of our time to God? Do we serve God only when that is convenient and favourablу for us, or we are ready to sacrifice our comfort for the sake of the interests of the Kingdom God?
