God desires to give you true success

Greetings to every reader on this day that the Lord has made! May God give us today the spirit of wisdom and revelation of His Word which is live and powerful. For several days now we have been talking about how important it is to know and do God’s will for his our lives. Knowing and doing God’s will is important for every person because our happiness on earth and our eternal destiny depend on. God reveals His Word through His Word, the Bible. It says in the Bible that
«the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever» (1 John, 2: 17).
Did you notice who abides forever? The one who does the will of God! So what happens to the others then? They will pass and disappear with this world. Only those who know and obey the will of God will enter the Kingdom of heaven. Here is why God’s will is so important for every one of us. God’s desire for His every child is
«that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God» (1 Peter, 4: 2).
Before getting saved we lived long enough in the world according to the will of Gentiles giving ourselves into different lusts. But now God is calling us to be just as eager not for sin, but for doing the will of the One Who has created and saved us.
«For we have spend enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles – when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do no turn with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for „love will cover a multitude of sins”. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good steward of the manifold grace of God» (1 Peter, 4: 3-10).
This Scripture passage says explicitly that we have lived long enough to do our own will. Stop denying the will of your Creator, because the end in close! We will all stand before the High Judge and answer for what we did with our lives. If we spent „our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles – when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries, then now God wants us to do His will and «have fervent love for one another», «be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good steward of the manifold grace of God».As we said before, a successful person is the one who knows what God wants him to do in his life and has dedicated his life for doing God’s will. Human success is not measured by his social status, banc accounts, and influence in society, popularity or fame in this world. True success is measured by how successful he has been in doing God’s will.Think about it today! God desires to give you true success that can be found in learning and doing God’s will for your life. You are the one who determines what to do with your life: either seeking temporary pleasure and enjoyment or seeking the eternal values of God’s Kingdom and His will for your life.God has placed you on this earth for one purpose – to do God’s will. So you have to ask yourself constantly: «How can I link what I am doing today with God’s will for my life?» If you cannot give a convincing answer to this question, then you need to re-evaluate the direction your life has taken. You need to seek God to get His wisdom and understanding to change the situation. This, of course, does not mean that you must quit what you are doing or leave your job. Possibly, you just need to correct your approach, priorities and motives.God can use you for His plan right where you are. You need to acknowledge the fact that no matter where you are today, your gifts can and must be used for the glory of God. Realize that the place where you are right now is a part of God’s plan to do good works God intended you to do.Let’s continue tomorrow!I wish you abundant God’s blessings!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

The way that Jesus will lead us on won’t always be smooth and easy. The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself endured the hostility, the cross and the shame. It means that Jesus will also lead us through the valleys of death and tears; this way is not pleasant and desired, but it is good for us, because God only knows what we need. The disciples followed Jesus not only when He spoke pleasantries, but also when He rebuked or corrected them. They followed Him even when they did not understand the true meaning of His words. The simply trusted His wisdom.

He was a man of God, similarly to David, one, whose attitude to prayer and fellowship with God was very serious. In Daniel 6:10 we read:«When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem) and he bowed down on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before».

Today I’d like us to discuss about the life of Abraham. I believe God wants to show us some very important principles that can be gleaned from the life of Abraham and in his relationship with God. “Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis, 12:1-3)

«Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.» (Mark 4:3-8)
  • Preparation of the way of the Lord II

Yesterday we started talking about God’s desire to demonstrate His glory and fullness in our lives; for this to happen we have to prepare our hearts and to prepare the way of the Lord. We have to cleanse our hearts from the things that God hates and cannot look upon. The following verses from the Scripture reveal the principle of preparation the way of the Lord.«In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight.’”» (Mathew, 3:1-3).
  • We are the salt of the earth and light of the world

We continue talking about our role and function as God’s ambassadors on the earth. We’ve talked about the Bible calling us Christ’s ambassadors; God has sent us to encourage people to be reconciled with God. The Bible also calls us the salt of the earth and the light to the world. But if we as Christ’s ambassadors on earth do not actively practise our faith, then our society will deteriorate. Today, if we look at successful and prosperous countries, we can see the reason of their success and prosperity is because the people there embrace and practice Christian values. Only righteousness exalts a nation – Thai is a law, – God’s law. Only righteousness makes a nation prosperous! Injustice and sin destroy a nation.
