How can we earn promotion?

Greetings to you, dear readers, on the pages of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! I thank God for every one of you and for God’s mercy that is being poured out on us. Today we have a great privilege: we can freely speak and study the Word of God, drawing from God’s wisdom. It is the time of God’s favour. He desires His children to be filled with His truth, because only the truth can make a person free and strong. Today I would like to start discussing how we can obtain promotion from God.Every one of us desires to see God in our lives – strong and mighty God. It is important for us how God sees us and what He sees in us and in our hearts. I was born to meet needs of other people.God is always good! He does not change. Your problems or illnesses cannot alter the mercy of God towards you. God is always good, and that is God that we serve. Do not let devil deceive you. Know that God is always good! He wants to promote us, but He is looking for a particular individual. He is searching for a person who deserves to be promoted.
«For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him» (2 Chronicles, 16:9).
God does not support and promote just anybody, because He cannot deviate from His own principles. Jesus did everything for us, – He paid the price for our salvation. There is no need to earn salvation. Salvation is not our merit; it was paid by Jesus’ death on the Cross of Golgotha. But after receiving salvation, we need to perfect this salvation through obedience and walking in light.
«Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling» (Philippians, 2:12).
Apostle Paul tells us to work out the very same salvation, for which Jesus paid the full price. How can we earn promotion? Through obedience to God.All of us seek promotion. All of our prayers can be replaced with one word – promotion. If we do not have money, we ask God to bless us; if we are ill, we ask Him to heal us; if we do not have jobs, we ask God open doors of new opportunities; if we have jobs, we ask God to bless us even more and to give us promotion. So, again and again we ask God to exalt and advance us.It is both good and right for us to pray about these things, but miracles do not come from praying alone; we need to be obedient to God. I do not diminish the role of prayer. I just want to point out that to be promoted by God we need to be obedient and walk in the light of His Word.We will continue about this tomorrow.Be blessed!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

To call upon God – it means to have a stable prayer life. God desires you to have consistent and stable prayer life. You have to have a place where you call upon Him.«But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly» (Mathew, 6:6).
  • Ask God for a reformation of your life, especially your prayer life!

God desires for us to realize that the church that prayer also wins; it is united church which cannot be overcome by the gates of hell. Praying church is a growing church that experiences God’s power and miracles. God promised that He has established His church and that the gates of hell will not prevail against it. May God help every one of us to give prayer the central place in our lives; may God’s order be established in our lives. I am not talking about redundant, fruitless imitation of prayer; I am talking about the prayer that touches heaven, releases God’s power which was seen in the life of Jesus.
  • It is the content of your heart that determines where your life is heading! III

«A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks» (Luke, 6:45).Some people continually blame others and their hearts are full of negative things, fear, insecurities. The reason is that they have allowed these things to enter their hearts and settle in. Whatever you let in, the same things also goes out.
  • Sin is one of the main sources of tragedies and various curses on the earth

So we see that sin is one of the sources of tragedies in the world. Dear reader, you can ease the suffering in the world by joining to the army of people who overcome evil by the power of love. Because of Moses’ correct decision, millions of Jews were saved from destruction. Because of your correct decision God can bless your family, your city, your country and the whole world. If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Saviour and you still lust for the wrong things, if you still resist God’s will and experience excessive appetite for sinful things and give in to impulses, – you need to know that by your life you multiply pain and suffering in this world.
  • The wisdom of repentance II

David talks about the obvious advantages that are available to a person after he has confessed his sins.1. Supernatural freedom from guilt and condemnation.« I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, „I will confess my transgression to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin» (Psalm 32:5). Right after we confess our sins God takes away from us the burden of guilt. When our own hearts condemn us, when we experience the guilt caused by our sins, it is extremely hard to boldly go before Godi n prayer. Feelings of guilt destroy our confidence. So, in order for us to get rid of the guilt we need to repent of our sins.
