Our life is a product of what we see III

Dear friends, welcome to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! For several days we have been talking about the importance of building your future.  We established that if we do not understand what we want, we won’t be able to construct a great future for our lives.  We also acknowledged that God wants to expand our vision; He wants to broaden how we see our lives at present. We saw it in the life of Abram; God promised to make him great. But God could not do it by Himself; first He had to expand Abram’s vision of himself and God’s promises. God told Abram that He is going to give him the land, but he had to envision it first. Also we talked about how important it is to visualize and picture the future God has for us; without it we won’t be able to reach out to this future. It is written that God only does what we think and ask for, and  also beyond it. This point is crucial. We have to ask these questions on a consistent basis: How do I see my life right now? What am I thinking about? Yesterday we saw that God cannot do these things without our participation and, on the other hand, we cannot build a wonderful future of ourselves without God. God wants us to cooperate with Him. His future and our future is a great, bright one. But we have to cooperate with Him to make sure this imagined future becomes a reality in our lives. It might be that today you look small in your own eyes, but God wants to give you a great future. And He does not keep us in ignorance about the prospects for the future, and for this very reason He gave us the Holy Spirit. One of the things that the Holy Spirit does is revealing the future God has prepared for us.
«But as it is written: „Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God» (1 Corinthians, 2:9-10).
This passage of Scripture tells us that God has a plan. He has a future for us, and not just any future, but a glorious future. No person knows this future; only the Spirit of God does. The Holy Spirit reveals to us the plans of God because He searches all things and knows the heart of God; He knows God’s thoughts about each one of us individually. So it is very important to inquire God about your future and not people.
«For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart» (Jeremiah, 29:11-13).
God does not want us to be at peace and let things drift along.  We must make certain effort to create a great future full of victory and wonderful deeds. For this to happen we must know the plans of God for our lives. Not only we must know the plans of God, but we must take pains in order to move towards the desired future. God has promised to support us. Be blessed! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Your gift will make room for you! III

We have been talking about how all big things start small, whether it is a known person, great ministry, great accomplishments or great influence. It all starts when a person does what he can do and does it with all his might as unto the Lord with faith and consistency. When one has such attitude towards life he will have his or her reward from the Lord. Such a person will be blessed and exalted by God. His or her gift will make room for him or her in God’s overall picture and the Body of Christ.Person’s gift will make room for him and will bring him before great men, – this is on of the Bible principles; the Bible teaches about it and also it can be seen in the lives of the people in the Bible.
  • Our highest calling – to reveal God in our flesh

The Bible says: «For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him» (John, 1:17-18).The law can never save people because the law only reveals the sinful nature of man. The law was given in order for people to realize their need for God and His help. It was Jesus who brought to us the truth and the grace that conveys spiritual power necessary to live in accordance with God’s will. Anyone who will accept this truth and grace will have the power to live a holy life and become an instrument in God’s hand that is able to manifest or declare God’s truth and grace to other people.
  • We must be grateful to God in all things!

When things go fine and when God answers our prayers, it is easy to thank God, – at those times we thank God and adore Him. But as soon as God decides to answer us in a way that does not fit our plans, we start thinking whether there is any sense in prayer. The Bible calls us to thank God in everything. The Bible calls us to praise God aloud so that other people would hear it. Be grateful to God, praise him, and sing to Him – aloud! Thanksgiving is the very model of prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples.
  • How to find and fulfil God’s will?

What do we really mean when we ask ourselves: «What is God’s will for me?» The majority of people want to know: «What is God’s plan for me in this situation? What would be the right decision in this situation?»We want to receive some directions and instructions from God in various life situations. We want to know God’s voice, since knowing His voice leads to knowing His will. God also wants every one of us to know His will in all things.
  • Being a Christian is a responsibility

God lifts up and raises exactly those who agree to become responsible. Jesus speaks on this in the next passage:«For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.»(Мatth.25:29-30)
