Sacrifice as a measure of love! IV

Greeting to you, dear friends! Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ! God is always good to us, because He has loved us with an everlasting love! For several days now we have been talking about the fact that the ability to sacrifice oneself is a reflection of our love. We looked at some moments in the life of Noah. Noah was a man who truly loved God, not only in words, but in deeds. Now demonstrated his love for God by standing out in his generation even though mocked and rejected by the people of his time. Noah demonstrated his love for God by keeping himself holy in a corrupt and pervert generation, he paid the price of obedient to God in everything because of his love for God. And, seeing the sacrifice of Noah, God did not overlook that, neither did He remains indebted to Noah. Noah and his entire family were given life and provision from God. Noah was a man whose heart was overflowing with love and gratitude towards God. Noah built an altar to God, and he praised Him there.I want to tell you that singing to God, praising Him, enjoying His presence is not a difficult task at all, if we will only take a moment to reflect or think of His grace. Even when you are having very hard times in life, you can still find something in your life that you can thank God for. Even when you think everything in your life is falling to pieces and your situation is the worst on earth, nevertheless, continue to believe – you simply have not encountered a situation that is worse than yours. But, when you see such a situation, you will find that you live in paradise.Find what you can be thankful for to God, and may the sacrifice of your gratefulness be every day on your lips. Find time to spend it with God. The man who loves God, will definitely find time for Him. The altar is necessary for offering a sacrifice. And the very first sacrifice of what we must offer God – it is our time. Remember, time is more precious than money, time – this is the most precious what we have! Time – it is life!
”Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom!” (Psalms 90:12).
May God help us understand this truth, that without spending time with God, Who is the source of life and love – we will gradually die.
“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near!” (Isaiah 55:6).
Only God can give us wisdom and strength, so we could go through this life, therefore the time spent with Him, will not be spent in vain.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31).
With God!Until tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • The generosity and hospitality that opens doors for God’s intervention

“The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. He said, “If I have found favour in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. Let a little water be brought and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way – now that you have come to your servant.” “Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.” “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. “There in the tent,” he said. Then the Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.”
  • Our highest calling – to reveal God in our flesh

The Bible says: «For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him» (John, 1:17-18).The law can never save people because the law only reveals the sinful nature of man. The law was given in order for people to realize their need for God and His help. It was Jesus who brought to us the truth and the grace that conveys spiritual power necessary to live in accordance with God’s will. Anyone who will accept this truth and grace will have the power to live a holy life and become an instrument in God’s hand that is able to manifest or declare God’s truth and grace to other people.
  • Why we need the favour? II

«And the Lord had given the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested» (Exodus, 12: 36)When God gave favour to the children to Israel, in one day they took away from the Egyptians an enormous amount of silver and gold. For 400 years the Israelites had worked in Egypt as slaves; they were mocked and oppressed. However, in one moment the favour of God restored to them everything the Egyptians were holding back from them. In a blink of an eye they were made rich.
  • Your surrounding has an impact on you, it determines whether you enter the destiny God has prepared for you or you don´t

How and with whom you spend your time reflect your consecration and desire to do God´s will. Looking at the life of Jesus, we can see whom He preferred to spend most of His time with, namely, those who similar to Him desired to do God´s will. If you surround yourself with people who are not going anywhere in this life, you will soon lose your purpose and direction in your life as well. Spending a lot of time with those who have no revelation about their lives soon also you won´t be able to see the goal of your life. Exactly these things happened to Abraham. God called him out of his country, his relatives and his father´s house to the land God showed to him.
  • Presence of God IV

We have been talking about God’s presence in our lives. As we have discussed, God’s presence makes all the difference in our lives. It makes us strong. It makes us wise. We can experience God’s presence through fervent praying, through cleansing and purifying of our hearts, though brokenness and humility before God, and through holy and godly living.Moses made prayer a priority in order to secure God’s presence in his life and ministry; for this reason he set up a special tent where all the seekers of God were invited to come.
