Sacrifice as a measure of love! IV
Greeting to you, dear friends! Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ! God is always good to us, because He has loved us with an everlasting love! For several days now we have been talking about the fact that the ability to sacrifice oneself is a reflection of our love. We looked at some moments in the life of Noah. Noah was a man who truly loved God, not only in words, but in deeds. Now demonstrated his love for God by standing out in his generation even though mocked and rejected by the people of his time. Noah demonstrated his love for God by keeping himself holy in a corrupt and pervert generation, he paid the price of obedient to God in everything because of his love for God. And, seeing the sacrifice of Noah, God did not overlook that, neither did He remains indebted to Noah. Noah and his entire family were given life and provision from God. Noah was a man whose heart was overflowing with love and gratitude towards God. Noah built an altar to God, and he praised Him there.I want to tell you that singing to God, praising Him, enjoying His presence is not a difficult task at all, if we will only take a moment to reflect or think of His grace. Even when you are having very hard times in life, you can still find something in your life that you can thank God for. Even when you think everything in your life is falling to pieces and your situation is the worst on earth, nevertheless, continue to believe – you simply have not encountered a situation that is worse than yours. But, when you see such a situation, you will find that you live in paradise.Find what you can be thankful for to God, and may the sacrifice of your gratefulness be every day on your lips. Find time to spend it with God. The man who loves God, will definitely find time for Him. The altar is necessary for offering a sacrifice. And the very first sacrifice of what we must offer God – it is our time. Remember, time is more precious than money, time – this is the most precious what we have! Time – it is life!
”Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom!” (Psalms 90:12).May God help us understand this truth, that without spending time with God, Who is the source of life and love – we will gradually die.
“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near!” (Isaiah 55:6).Only God can give us wisdom and strength, so we could go through this life, therefore the time spent with Him, will not be spent in vain.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31).With God!Until tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye
