Do not focus of what you do not have; simply go ahead and use what you have! II

Greetings to you, dear friends! Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

Today I want to continue talking about the need to exercise our gifts and talents in the Kingdom of God.

Yesterday we talked about the fact that it is not what you have that really matters, but more importantly what you do with that which you have. It is very important for you not to focus on what you do not have; instead, simply use what you do have.

God gives to us gifts according to our ability, so He does not call us to do the things we are not able to. If God has asked you to do something, it is only because He knows you are able to do it. He won’t give you more than you are able to bear. Simply use what you have.

I once read a story about a woman who built a school for needy people. Before she began this, a desire was born in her heart to do it. It became her dream that she was thinking of consistently. At that moment she did not have a thing: no textbooks, no teachers, no building, and no money. But she did have a tremendous desire to fulfil her dream. She started to do what she could. She turned to Henry Ford to get some financial support; he was the owner of the famous car production company. Henry Ford listened to her and after some contemplation gave her 10 cents (one dime). How do you like that!? The most interesting thing is that this woman did not get offended and did not give up. With these 10 cents she bought some seeds and sowed them. After the harvest she sold some of it and sowed some more. Time passed and she had a large garden. Four years later she made some profit after selling the harvest and it was enough to buy a building. After buying the first building she went to Henry Ford to thank him for the 10 cents. He was so impressed with what he heard and amazed at it, that he gave her 1 million dollars to fulfil her dream. Very soon the school for needy people was opened.

What if she had thrown the 10 cents out? If she had decided that it was not enough in order to do such a big project? The school would have never started. Praise God, she used what she had and was rewarded for her work and faithfulness.

Many people act differently today, – they ignore the little things and consider them insignificant. People often do not use their talents because they are smaller than the talents some other people have. People complain and are jealous of others instead of thanking God for the things God has given them and using their talents to bring in profit for the Lord.

It all depends on what we do with our talents.

The example set by this woman proves that small things can do great things, if we have the right attitude towards the things we have.

Are you grateful to God for what you have? It might be that you do not have a million talents, but you still need to be grateful to God for what you have. You need to work with what you have today, so that you can fulfil your dreams.

May God abundantly bless you today!

Every one of us has been given free choice. By our lawlessness and sins we can fill our lives and the lives of our loved ones, thus defiling the earth. But through repentance and godly living we can establish the rule of life by God’s grace, affecting not just our life but the whole world. We see that the sin of one man negatively affects not only him or her, but also others. In the same way we see that obedience and righteous living positively affects other people and the whole world.

For several days now we have been discussing the how the gift when it is used makes room for us and takes us before great people. When the gift is used it broadens our possibilities and destroys limitations. Thank God for creating us just the way we are.Dear friend, you have been given the things you need to start your supernatural ministry. Do not view your gift as being something small and insignificant. When Jesus told His disciples to feed the multitude, they argued with Him, saying: “We have here only five loaves and two fish”. I guess the disciples expected Jesus to say: «Oh, yes! Then let the people go, because we don’t have enough for everyone!» But Jesus did not say that. He managed to feel the multitude of people because one little boy gave back to the Lord the little he had.
  • The law of multiplication II

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:5-6). This Scripture confirms that the one who sows and labours – even if it takes tears – will doubtlessly reap with joy. If we use our God given seed correctly, which means if we sow the seed even with tears then God promises us abundant harvest and lots of joy. All these parables of Jesus tell us of the kingdom of God.
  • We can only be defiled by the things that come from within II

Only the Lord knows the true condition of our hearts, and He wants to help us look into our hearts using the relationships we are involved in. Our views, actions and lack of actions, our words – all of these things cause particular reaction which determines the level of our spiritual maturity.
  • What are the grounds or foundations of favour? II

Through faith in Jesus Christ we become clothed in his righteousness and nature. In the our spirit we have the perfect character of the Almighty God even though we do not become perfect in our actions immediately after becoming followers of Jesus. We reflect God’s life, character and thoughts more and more in our lives to that extent to which we submit ourselves to the new nature in our spirit. Our daily submission to God’s nature and character in us is what I call practical righteousness that qualifies us for God’s favour.
