All true ministry begins in the presence of God II
Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus!
Today I want to continue our talk on starting ministry in the presence of God. Yesterday we saw the example of Lord Jesus Christ Himself, but today we are going to see the example of prophet Isaiah.
The classic example of prophet Isaiah is another strong illustration that shows us how effective ministry must begin in the presence of God.
The prophet went into the temple to worship. In other word, he drew near to God and enters into the presence of God. As soon as he did, few things happened that I will like us to look into diligently:
The first thing that happened is that Isaiah saw the glory of God and heard the Cherubim declaring through song how the whole earth is filled with the Glory of God;
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory” (Isaiah 6: 1-3).
Even though in the natural, things looked terribly different, Isaiah was able to see God’s perspective. One of the reasons ministry need to start in the presence of God is this: As you draw near to God, you will be enabled to walk by faith instead of just walking by sight.We are instructed to live like that in 2Corithian 5: 7“We live by faith, not by sight”
How is that possible? we receive the power to do that as we regularly spend time in the presence of God. We will look at what people call problems, but instead of seeing what they are seeing, we will see possibilities. When you spend time with God, He allows you to see things from a glorious perspective instead of a disastrous perspective.Spend some time in God presence today and allow Him to show you His own perspective about that problem you have been battling recently. That is God’s word for you today!God bless you Pastor Rufus AjiboyeSupport us so we can do more
