Be faithful in small things; then God will set you over many things! II

Greetings to you, dear readers of “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! God is faithful to His Word. Because of His boundless love towards us, He is faithful to us. And He also looks for faithfulness in us.
«..when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith (faithfulness) on the earth?» (Luke, 18:8).
Do not compare yourself with other people, but always check whether you are faithful to God. Are you faithful to God in the area of being a good steward of the resources God has entrusted you?Jesus’ parable of talents says that after the lord returned and settled accounts with his first two servants that had multiplied their talents, he did not just praise them for their faithfulness; he also blessed and promoted them: «…you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things».Equal blessings were given to the neighbour that gained five more talents and to the one who gained two more.God is in rewarding business! Reward awaits every one that serves the Lord in patience and faithfulness. Faithfulness leads to promotion. How did the third servant behave? He began making excuses.
«…Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours» (Mathew, 25:24-25).
After listening to him, the master publically condemned him.
«But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest…» (Mathew, 25:26-27).
The master revealed the true nature of this man: he was wicked and lazy.If this servant truly feared the lord and considered him to be a hard man, then his actions would have been totally different; then he would have used his talents. But the problem was that this servant was a lazy and deceitful person. He was just making excuses and trying to get away. He was looking for ‘a scapegoat’. His master saw the true cause of the bareness of this servant: it was deceitfulness and laziness. When the Lord will return, there won’t be a way out: no excuses, no cunningness, nothing else will help us to get away. The Lord won’t listen to you trying to blames someone else. We cannot deceive God because He knows and sees everything.God has not entrusted every one of us with talents so that we would hide them; He wants us to use and multiply them.It is better to be diligent and faithful servant of God than to waste your life being deceitful and lazy. The day will come for every one of us when we will stand before our Lord Jesus Christ and give account for the life we have lived. Every day we have an opportunity to get ready to meet the Lord. Every day we meet people that we can help and minister to. It is your choice. You are the one that can decide how to spend your life.Jesus spread life wherever He went. You can do the same, because Jesus lives inside of you.I wish you God’s abundant blessings that you will be able to share with the ones that need those blessings!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • How do we acquire such “great faith”?

Let’s try to find the answer to that question today. The Bible declares that faith comes from hearing God’s Word (Rom.10:17). So if you want your faith to grow, my advice to you is this– continue to listen to Gods word and fill your heart and mind with it.At the same time be ready for your faith to be tested. You cannot find out if your faith is growing without examination. Problems and trials are tests of your faith.
  • Spiritual discipline

The paradox is that most Christians, who discipline themselves in other areas of their life in order to be successful – like job or carrier, do not believe they need to be disciplined in the area of godliness. We are talking about good Christians who are faithful members of the Church of the Living God. These are people who love God’s Word and often are very enthusiastic about the work of God. But because of the lack of discipline they do not reach their potential in God’s Kingdom.
  • Wisdom of a man and wisdom of God

There are a wisdom of this world and God´s wisdom. God´s wisdom differs from the wisdom of this world the way that it´s hidden until the God Himself reveals it to the people. As for the wisdom of this world, that´s a human wisdom gained using five methods of perception, or sense: hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste, which are the natural channels used to gain a knowledge.Differently from God´s wisdom that exists for our glory, the wisdom of a man once passes away. The Bible says, that «the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men», even more His wisdom is. God´s wisdom is much higher than the wisdom of a man.
  • God helps us to develop compassion towards other people through the ministry as well

It is true that ministry transforms us into the likeness of God. Since God is graceful and compassionate in His essence, then we His children should be able to show to others the grace and compassion of our Heavenly Father and we do that by serving other people. Earlier on, we already mentioned that God’s desire is to transform us into the image and the likeness of Christ so that we can begin to reflect the quality of character that Jesus had. It was Christ who came to reveal God to us so that we can follow in His steps. We know that changes automatically do not occur; changes or transformation happen only as we implement the laws and principles of God into our life. Ministry is one tremendous way we can do that; it is one of the many tools, God uses to mold and transform us into likeness of Christ.
  • We are the salt of the earth and light of the world

We continue talking about our role and function as God’s ambassadors on the earth. We’ve talked about the Bible calling us Christ’s ambassadors; God has sent us to encourage people to be reconciled with God. The Bible also calls us the salt of the earth and the light to the world. But if we as Christ’s ambassadors on earth do not actively practise our faith, then our society will deteriorate. Today, if we look at successful and prosperous countries, we can see the reason of their success and prosperity is because the people there embrace and practice Christian values. Only righteousness exalts a nation – Thai is a law, – God’s law. Only righteousness makes a nation prosperous! Injustice and sin destroy a nation.
  • Do You Hear What God Speaks? V

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 16:25)Our task is to train our spirit to hear what God is telling us. And even if your intellect is fighting and heart does not agree with what God says to you, anyway, say to God, “I do not know how it happens, I just believe in You!”
