The importance of our faithfulness to God II

Precious children of God, I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ and I bless you this day! May this day be successful for you and full of the glory of the Lord!We have been talking about God’s desire for us to be actively involved in the spreading of His Kingdom on this earth.Yesterday we said that the victory is the Lord’s. This victory is secured by God Himself, because He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings. The enemy is mobilizing a powerful and united army to cast down the influence of God’s Kingdom but it won’t happen; God will make sure that the kingdom of this earth will become the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. For this reason God left us on the earth so that we can be involved in the process of expanding God’s Kingdom until Jesus’ Second Coming.Today we will finish talking about this topic.
“These will war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful» (Revelation, 17:12-14).
We already saw that despite the fact that our God is the Lord of lords and the King of kings He has made a decision to work in cooperation with His Church. God counts on the people He has called, chosen and who have been faithful. In order for us to join the group of victors in Christ it is important for us to do some things first.According to this passage of Scripture, the first thing we need to do is to answer the call of God. God unceasingly calls people: if you have not yet repented of your sins, then He is calling you right now to do just that; if you have repented, then God is calling you to become a disciple of Jesus Christ; if you are already His disciple, God is calling you to serve people. God continuously calls people. The victors in Christ are those who have answered God’s call. But for us to join this army of victors in Christ we need to stay faithful to God, faithful to our mission in the Kingdom of God. According to the Scriptures, many are called, but few are chosen. Unless you answer the call, you cannot be chosen by God. If you are already chosen by Him you will not have victory unless you remain faithful to God until the end. It is not the beginning that tells the story; it is the end.
«Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward…» (Hebrews, 3:1-5).
This passage of Scripture says that we are partakers of a heavenly calling. God counts on our involvement and participation just as He counted on Moses’ victory over Pharaoh. Moses was faithful in the house of God, and for this reason Pharaoh could not stop the process of the deliverance and the salvation of God’s people despite his power, his strength and his huge army.Jesus Christ was faithful to His mission and for this reason in Him all people in this world have an opportunity to receive redemption, salvation and deliverance.God calls us as His children to be like Jesus and to be like Moses; He calls us to remain faithful to our heavenly calling. God always has the victory! He advances the influence and the work of His Kingdom through the faithfulness of His Church. It is important for us to remember that our main mission – as the Body of Christ and as individual believers – is to establish and to spread His Kingdom on this earth. In order for the Kingdom to spread forth we need to answer God’s call and to remain faithful to this calling until the very end. And then the Kingdom of God will be on earth as it is in heaven.God bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Prayer is petitioning God and receiving from Him

«Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened» (Mathew, 7:7-8).This passage of Scripture reveals three levels of praying. I really want you to see it. There are quite many places in the Bible where God has made known to us His desires and His will and promises. We can ask in prayer when the will of God has been revealed and made known.
  • On what does your destiny depend? II

«My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life» (Proverbs, 4:20-23). Based on this Scripture, we can argue that the course of your life, my destiny or yours should not depend on somebody else but on ourselves. You must take charge of your life and destiny!
  • Lay hold on eternal life! III

Laying hold of eternal life means that a person strives to stay on the narrow road which leads to eternal life. Jesus knew that it would be so convenient for many to walk the broad road; being on this road, a person feels comfortable and lives without any restrictions; he does what he wants to do and is not limited by any commitments. But the Bible says that it is the way of sin, because a person is not accountable and moves ‘without brakes’, so to speak; this way leads to destruction. God says that we shouldn’t walk on this way. We must flee sin; we must cast aside all the worldly, ungodly things that hinder us, otherwise we won’t get to our destination – eternal life. Jesus says that many people will deny faith.
  • What are you doing with your talent? III

«Set your mind on things above» (Colossians, 3:2).But you cannot mentally switch and start thinking about the things above, because it is a process. It depends on your lifestyle. So Jesus tells us to invest ourselves and our treasures into the Kingdom of God, because where your treasures are, your heart will be also. If you continuously think on how you can build God’s Kingdom, – investing your finances, time, strength and effort into it, – then your heart will also be there. It is a law: your heart will be where your treasures are.
  • If we want our talents to multiply, we must have a dream!

We all follow up our dream. It is built within us to pursue our dreams and do all we can to fulfill them. When we dream we awaken a desire within us that leads us to have the drive, passion and ambition to accomplish our dream. That is why people with dreams deploy everything within their reach to accomplish their dream. Godly ambition prompts a person to change.
  • Value God’s Word! II

«Therefore whoever hears these saying of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these saying of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on the house; and it fell. And great was its fall» (Mathew, 7:24-27)
