Sin is the root of the evil

Greetings to you, dear friends!Praise God for this wonderful day that God has given us! Thank God for one more opportunity to get filled with His living Word!Yesterday we started talking about how evil entered into the life of the first people and this world. The glory that was the covering for Adam and Eve left after they sinned. Right then Adam and Eve became vulnerable and open for curses and every evil. Sin gave birth to evil. The first one who sinned was Satan, so all evil has its beginning in him.
«He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil» (1 John, 3:8).
The devil deceived Adam and Eve who were reflecting the glory of God in the earth, because he hated God and all the things that brought glory to God. Adam and Eve were given a free will and a right to choose and they decided to disobey God and submit to the voice of the devil. That is how sin entered their life and the life of all of the generations after them. They gave themselves and their posterity into the hands of death. And since that time death has begun its reign over people.
«For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through that one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ» (Romans, 5:17)
As soon as man found out about his nakedness, he made for himself clothing out of fig leaves and started hiding from God. «Fig leaves» symbolize human efforts to manage their life without God’s intervention and out of the realm of God’s authority. This has been the source of all possible misery and problems on earth. Man without God is like lost sheep that becomes prey for wild beasts and has nothing good to look forward to. Nevertheless, many people make their choice to live without God.Religion and rituals that are void of God’s power are not a solution for a sinful man. «Fig leaves» are not able to cover man’s nakedness. Only the glory of God can do that. After the fall God began looking for the man in the Garden; the man did not look for God. Here we see God’s concern for people. He has the best in mind for us and He always offers us solutions in our difficulties.Today God is the same as in the days of Adam; He knocks on the door of human hearts to tell us that He loves us and has answers and solutions for difficult situations we find ourselves in. Call unto God and He will hear you and help you! And He will reveal to you how to turn your tragedies and problems into triumph!Abundant blessings to you from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Is anything too hard for the Lord?

This question is so crucial because how we answer it will determine the measure of God’s involvment in our lives. This question helps us to realize that how much we know about God affects the level of our faith. When a person believes that there is nothing impossible for God, that person has a particular attitude towards life, a particular reaction to hardships, a particular spiritual attitude that appears when he or she runs into difficult problems that do not change for a long time.
  • Your gift will make room for you! IV

In the Gospel of Mathew Jesus told a parable about Master giving his servants different talents. «For the kingdom of heaven is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey» (Mathew, 25: 14-15).Jesus shows us here that the criterion of His assessment is not quantity, but faithfulness. God know that every one of us has different abilities, so the quantitative result will be different for different people. Numbers are not important to Jesus; He cares about how faithful you have been with what God has given you. He cares about your attitude towards His work.
  • Hope of salvation II

Today Abraham´s example shows us the way of life we should live in this world. It also helps us to understand the role of hope at the battle of the last days. Nothing in this world captured him nor temptation to become rich could influence his relationships with God, because he had the hope of salvation. Having the hope of salvation makes walking in faith easy nowadays. Regardless of what you have or lack you can easily rejoice even nowadays.
  • Faith is obedience to the Lord! II

«Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.» (Hebrew 11:6). As we mentioned earlier, faith means acting in accordance to the word of God. Quite often God calls us to do impossible things, those only God Himself can accomplish. God is not inviting us to demonstrate our own capabilities, but what He is able to do through us. That´s why God often gives us the tasks we cannot accomplish without Him.
  • Purpose for living

Many people ask themselves a question of why they feel inner emptiness. So many continue to walk the wrong way in their lives, and it goes on day after day. They feel their life to be aimless and they continue their walk unmotivated.Multitudes of people do not have a clue of why they live and whether the life is worth living. All of these things happen because they do not have a clear purpose for living.
  • We must be grateful to God in all things!

When things go fine and when God answers our prayers, it is easy to thank God, – at those times we thank God and adore Him. But as soon as God decides to answer us in a way that does not fit our plans, we start thinking whether there is any sense in prayer. The Bible calls us to thank God in everything. The Bible calls us to praise God aloud so that other people would hear it. Be grateful to God, praise him, and sing to Him – aloud! Thanksgiving is the very model of prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples.
